I have restrictions at work due to job-related injuries, but now by using the Total Gym I am expecting to obtain normal recovery and be able to perform my regular duties! My next doctor appointment will be exciting!

A Great as I Remember

We bought our first Total Gym in 2002 and used it regularly 6 days per week along with a treadmill. By 2005, as a long-standing back condition worsened, I had to give up all exercise. I had spinal fusion surgery in 2006 and a "revision" in May, 2008. In 2007 I had a shoulder replacement. At 73, having become greatly reduced as a consequence of non-exercise, I recognize the need to rebuild my strength and conditioning within the limits of what my body will allow. The Total Gym allows me so much flexibility that I am able to find exercises suited to the need to build up my core in order to protect the fused lumbar spine. Given the problems imposed by an implanted shoulder prosthesis, I have nevertheless been able to find exercises that have permitted me to stretch the shoulder muscles and tendons while stregthening them. Using the Total Gym for rehab is, of course, a personal choice and there are other approaches. But I find that I am never discouraged when using the machine and look forward to my workout - not because I love exercise but because I know the Total Gym helps me preserve strength and mobility.

Cons: Difficult to store, Bulky

Great for the entire family.

I use the Total Gym for strenght training mostly. I love the ab exercises that can be done on it as well. The Total Gym is the one piece of equipment that the entire family uses. My 9 year old love to do jump squats and my 11 year old likes to do pull ups. It's very easy to use and to change activities.

The XLS is a great machine. I have my wife using it now and we both are seeing as well as feeling the difference. The setup for my wife is hard, but the durability and sturdiness of the machine is great. You definitely get a quality workout from a quality product.

When I use the Total Gym, I feel like I've really worked out. My muscles feel fatigued and the great part is more than one muscle area is worked on at the same time. Using the cables, does this. Your always using total body strength. I absolutely love it.

My second Total Gym

I use the product evening when I get off work for about an hour and it just keeps me going at niht. It is a great product, this is my total gym and the first was just as good as this one
