Now I like working out.

I love working out now. This machine is wonderful. I use it every night when I get home for at least 30 mins. The first day I use it, I could feel it afterwords. I wanted to lose weight for my sisters wedding in June of 2010...and now I've found a way to help with that goal. The Total Gym XLS is the best thing I've ever bought.
Pros: Sturdy, Easy Storage, Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Strengthens, Easy To Use

Total Gyms Delivers Total Workout.

My wife & I purchase the Total Gym as a New Years gift for each other. We have belonged to a Health Club for 4 years and attended regularly but were becoming frustrated by the changes in exercise classes and time of day they were offered. We also use the Cardio and Weight Lifting equipment at the gym, but the best equipment circuits were always in use, providing us only partial workouts. Since we got the Total Gym, we are able to replicate all the training classes and equipment the health club offers right at home. It is fun for us to build upon the programs that came with the Total Gym and tailor our workouts for specific needs, allowing us to not "hit the wall" and over-train one specific aspect of our conditioning. I only wish that Total Gym would come out with a Treadmill or Bicycle with the same versatility as the Total Gym.

Perfect for my lady, okay for me

My wife uses Total Fitness for strength training. The easy access, ease of use and fluid operation really appeals to her. I use it as an extension of fat-burning training. Total Fitness doesn't offer enough resistance for hi-intensity/lo-rep strength training, which is my preference (this could be fixed by adding a "gear" to adjust cable tension beyond max incline). Also, rollers don't work on berber carpet, which is common in most family rooms/basements. This makes storing and unstoring unit awkward, esp. for my wife.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Use, Great for hi-rep workouts, Good resistance 4 ladies, Quiet Operation, Easy To Set Up, Sturdy
Cons: Doesn't roll on berber, Not 4 hi-intensity wrkout

It's the gym for women & moms on the go

This has motivated me for when the kids are busy, to give myself the few minutes I have to work out. The 6-8 min workout in the box was what convinced me to try it. I thought, if this doesnt work, then at least I tried since its in my house. The work out cards allowed me also to be gutsy enough to pick out what I wanted for my own "work out circuit" I also have Baseball and Football players at home that use this as their on and off season workout room when they arent in the weight room at school. It has made huge improvements during their speed and agility classes.
Pros: Strengthens, Sturdy, Comfortable, Easy To Use, Easy To Set Up, Quiet Operation

My husband is your biggest fan

My husband was very skeptical, but after he got on it and started exercising he say it was just as good if not better that gyms he uses at many hotels in his travel. He continuely comment on how it is helping to build his upper body. He is a convert! I love it too as I am 50 now it is important to build musle in order to burn calories. This also builds my strength and keeps me limber. We think the padded board could tear up easily looks kind of cheap, but no problems yet but we only had it for a few month. Very please with product and the fact it doesn't take up a lot of space in our exercise room. I put it together myself. We have two other pieces of equipment a treadmill and bicycle. We love our Total Gym!
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Quiet Operation, Strengthens, Any workout level, Sturdy, Easy To Use, Comfortable

I have purchased a number of different pieces of exercise equipment over the years and have always been disappointed. Some equipment hardware broke, some were very noisy, and some were difficult to use. I have finally found and invested in good equipment!

We LOVE this product! My husband and I have been working out for over 20 years with professional grade gym equipment in our home. We decided to purchase the total gym because it seemed to offer all the same excercise capabilities without taking up so much space. We were a little hesitant, but decided to give it a try. We were both pleasantly surprised at the level of difficulty, the number of excercises that can be performed, the ease of change between excercises, and the great workout we experienced. We have been doing Pilates in our home for over 5 years, and we love the Total Gym for its Pilates excercises. Being over 40 yrs of age, we injured ourselves quite a bit with the free weight machines. We love how safe the Total Gym is and how it supports the lower back while working out. I cannot say enough about this product. We are 100% happy.
