I am enjoying my Total Gym!

I have an extremely busy schedule and found I was unable to get to a gym. I purchased a Total Gym to supplement my treadmill workouts and to improve my overall muscle tone and strength. I like the selection of suggested work-out programs both in the card deck and by DVD. I like the variety of exercises available and I enjoy using the product very much. Initially, I did find some of the set-ups and equipment changes a bit tricky but the more I use it the better I am becoming at managing the changes. I have found myself exercising more and for longer periods of time so hopefully I will reach my goals!
Pros: Comfortable, Quiet Operation, Sturdy, Strengthens, Easy To Use

It's a keeper

I purchased the Total Gym for my husband for Christmas. He had been looking at another program on TV and made a comment about me getting it for him as a gift. He has always been one that works out, whether at home or at a gym. He recently started his own company so he had been unable to get the time to workout. He thought this other workout program would be the answer to his problem. He could work out at home and get the results he wanted. I saw the Total Gym commercial and liked the size of the equipment. I also liked the fact that you can do so many different excercises with one machine. I had recently gone through a couple of major surgeries and wanted the comfort of being at home to workout. So I purchased a Total Gym. It arrived and we quickly set it up. My dear hubbie looked at it and said, "Honey, I don't think we are going to get the results we want from this piece of equipment." I told him, "We have a 30 day trial period, let's see how it goes." I was in the livingroom doing a little dusting a few days later. My husband walks in sweat from head to toe. I laughed and asked what in the world he had been doing. He said, "I just used the Total Gym for the first time and that thing kicked my butt." I look at him and said, "So it's a keeper?" He said, "Oh yeah, it's a keeper."

Just What I Needed

I am about 347lbs at 5ft 8" and I have diabetes. I want to walk but the problem that I have with my feet has made it difficult to do so Ever since I received my machine and have been exercising I am strengthening my legs and upper body it's coming along For the first time in 5 years there is an exercise I like that I can do that is low impact on my feet.This product is fantastic it really is . This Gym has been a combination of Nutisystem and Bowflex. You really have a total gym with this product. The only thing to make this a better gym is a personal trainer in the box with it. After a accident in Alaska, this gym has been a big part of my rehab.

I am 62 and never have I been consistent with exercise until we purchased the Total Gym. I love it and I actualy now look forward to my routine. It is perfect for our lifestyle. It fits in our RV and takes no space at all to store. I have only been using it for three weeks now and already can see a difference in my energy level and flexability.

Better than expected

I honestly bought this expecting it to be a nice addition to my workouts. But it is surprisingly adaptable to what I want to do, and I can easily get a complete workout, and do it when it is convenient for me. In November I decided I needed to loose about 75lbs, my joint hurt from heavy weight training, and diet & treadmill would not suffice alone. Enter the Total Gym, I get a workout that has some soreness that is new (hitting new areas I was missing) and I feel energized like I did when I was hitting the gym 5 days a week. I try to use the Total Gym at least 4 times a week, with different muscle groups. I have not hit my 75lbs yet (which would be unhealthy to loose that fast anyway) but I am definitely on track for 6 - 10lbs each month, and this has been a huge helper. I would recommend this to anyone, beginner to someone not trying to break a world weightlifting record :)
