Our son lost his hand in a farm accident and even he can use it with his stump. We also have young fellas living with us that are coming off of heavy drugs and alcohol. Working out after they start to feel better really gives them a sense of well being. They see themselves in a different light. All of our experiences have been positive. Finally something that lives up to its advertisement.

Really enjoying my Total Gym!

I use my total gym 5 days per week, alternately working on upper and lower body. I work my abs and cardio everyday. It was very easy to set up and is easy to fold up against the wall. My wife and daughter love to use it too, we are all getting in better shape.Only thing Id change is putting the excercise cards on a ring or binder of some sort, if they are dropped, its a 50 card pickup! I'm loving my gym.

I've always had workout at home to supplement health club workouts. I got the Total Gym to replace my Bowflex which I no longer had room for. I have to have an at-home machine, as I am treating for cancer and am rarely able to get to a gym. The Total Gym takes up almost no space and allows me to get a quick effective workout when I am able to and definitely keeps me stronger in the process. My wife had never worked out before we met; after a short stint at the local health club she started having trouble finding time to workout. She now works out at home and feels better physically and more comfortable with herself in general. This is a great machine for anyone, especially those with limited room for big equipment, but still want a quality exercise machine.

Cons: Card Tower is flimsy

I purchased the Total Gym for my girlfriend and myself so we could exercise together and get back into shape. Since we started 4 weeks ago we have lost a total 20 inch's on the chest, waist and hips and a total of 35 lbs. We started using the 8 minute routine but found that to be to much moving of accessories. We then started on the body make over routine and have found that to be great. It gives a good workout, keeps you moving, really works all the muscle groups and fits our life style very nicely. All in all I would have never guessed the Total Gym could do what it is doing for us. We look forward to every workout.

What a surprise!

My wife was insistent on buying the Total Gym XLS, but I wasn't too sure about the machine from the ads. We got the Total Gym and had it set up in 15 minutes and I couldn't believe the workouts I could do! Every muscle group can be easily worked, and the ability to change the level of resistance is simple. I didn't think I got much out of my first workout, but I could really fell it the next day! What a surprise!
