First, the box sat on the floor unopened for days (weeks), then my husband took it out of the box without reading instructions and the bench fell away from the framework. Now it's assembled and still lying on the floor. I have not attempted it. I am a chronic procrastinator and have not exercised in the past umpteen years. My Jenny Craig consultant wants me to get exercise beyond the 20,000 steps I get on my job...like more walking.I like resistance training (I did go to a gym about 10 years ago), so I got the total gym. Every time I see the infomercial I feel good about my decision in purchasing the product. I just don't know how to get myself on it!?

Mine came with a dvd for pilates instruction. I would prefer another small booklet showing what to do/how to do it...no time to watch a dvd.
Pros: Comfortable, Sturdy, Easy To Set Up
Cons: Noisy

Not at all "Travel Friendly"

I travel a great deal. I was impressed when Chuck Norris and other celebrity endorsers talked about how they take theirs with them. Obviously they don't have to get this in and out of a car themselves. And forget about checking it in at an airline. It's immediately oversized luggage, and incredibly overpriced!

The position you sit in while working your arms and doing oblique twists is highly uncomfortable at level 1 and 2. Concentrating on what to do with your legs while trying to concentrate on the correct muscles that your working in your arms and waist is very difficult! The instructors on the video do mostly level 2 and 3 so their legs dangle while sitting, while at level 1 or 2 your legs have to be held out straight in front of you.
Pros: Quiet, Sturdy, Easy To Set Up
Cons: Bulky, Hard To Use, Uncomfortable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
