If you are in shape. This doesn't challenge enough. May be good place to start if you aren't in shape. Not as easy to re-open and use, does require space while using. Roller wheels don't work.
Pros: Sturdy, Easy Storage, Quiet

The frame sags in the middle, causing the slide to stop mid ride. The handle fabric came off in my hand on the third use. I had to sew the handles back on plus the fabric rides along the steel ring causing a poor angle. The safety pin does not stay in place all the time. I am not sure what I think of a product designed for working out that cannot handle the rigors of such an operation. After fixing, tweaking and sewing it performs ok. As a retired disabled veteran the cost was not worth it for me, I expected a significantly different and more reliable product. I wish I had the money back to spend on more productive venues!
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Comfortable, Quiet
Cons: Poor Construction, Flimsy

Use the product for strength training as well as a full body workout in a short amount of time. Like the low impact of the machine, but time will tell how sturdy the equipment actually is.

I had a similar price of equipment years ago...but nothing to compare with the Total Gym. Someone actually engineered this. The workouts are as intense as you want, and as demanding as you dare. I have found that moving quickly from exercise to exercise is easy and adds significant effect and intensity. I use a set of the enclosed exercise cards for my main workout so that it flows from large to small muscle movement and allows the stabilizing muscles to warm gradually. The set up for each exercise is simple, logical and makes transitions between exercises quick and effortless. WELL DONE Total Gym....well done indeed.

I must say the total gym is a brilliant piece of equipment.I have been using it for years and it has kept me in great shape. I have a slow growing tumor in my liver which originally moved from my bowel. i have this condition for 10 years and have gone through many surgeries. what has kept me in great shape is the total gym. I go through a set of routines on the equipment which relaxes me and when I finish I feel in good order. People I know cannot believe that I have been battling cancer and genuinely the reason is using the total gym. My routine is 3/4 hour, 5 times a week using a wide range of muscle groups. It's easy, comfortable, quick and effective, I'm in better shape now than I ever was. I'm 53 yrs of age. Discipline yourself and use the total gym. It is the best equipment on the market.
