This machine is deceiving. You think because there isn't a weight system it won't do much. Then you realize you're the weight. I have back, knee and shoulder injuries from my time in the Army, so working out had become a huge problem. This machine allows me to work out without adding additional pain. That alone is everything for me.

The Total Gym is well built, easy to setup, and a lot of background material to use the Gym effectively. The several weeks I have been using the Gym, it is a great replacement for going to a work out center. After about 1 1/2 yrs the Gym cost will be recovered. I am currently using the Gym 3 days a week for about an hour each time. My goal is to use the Gym 4 days a week and 1 1/2 hours each time.

It really is a great work out machine! It was already assembled and set up was pretty easy. The only issue for me is hooking the pulley system back on to the board. I am getting better at it though. I love the exercise cards that came with it. I'm starting out slow on level one and only one rep a night, three to four times a week. Plan on moving to two reps next week. Wish I would have bought this sooner!

Really fun and great workout!! I used to run, but disk problems made that impossible. This gives a great workout with little impact to my spine. Also, I ordered the xls, but they sent the fit. No complaints!!!
