Too much pomp and not enough circumstanc

I used this unit every day for three weeks and I lost some serious weight. It's a good 'maintainer' machine, but I wouldn't call it a muscle builder. Not sure about each unit sold, but the one I got was not sturdy. The rails would widen out when I was on it. The wing bar attachment was denting the rails and the anchors for the cables were coming loose. I sent it back and would not buy another one.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Comfortable, Easy Storage
Cons: Flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good concept...lacking in some areas

Concept is good. The product is cheaply made for the cost of it. Easy to set up. It is awkward changing the heighth. The board is too narrow. The hook the cables go onto is awkward to reach.
Pros: Strengthens, Quiet, Easy To Use, Easy To Set Up
Cons: Uncomfortable, Bulky, Flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as easy as they say

We keep it in the living room and if it were not such a pain the butt to take out and put back I would use it allot more. If we had the room to just leave it open I would use it but we don't and I am pregnant and it is king of heavy and to drag it on the carpet put it out to use it for 15 min then have to fold it back up and drag it on carpet again is a huge pain. I get more of a work out doing that then I do using it. Thinking of selling it. Kind of an expensive clothes hanger.
Pros: Comfortable, Strengthens, Quiet
Cons: Hard To Set Up, Flimsy

This is a great machine for low-impact exercises. When fully set up it takes up quite a bit of room, more than I thought it would. I have gotten my hair caught in the wheels a few times, so I would recommend making sure anyone with long to medium length hair really ensure its tied back. The videos were easy to follow, and set up is easy, but somewhat a pain. Overall a very useful piece, and better than any competitors.

Cons: Uncomfortable, Bulky

In the month I have had the Total Gym XLS, I have lost only 10.2 pounds, but I have lost 5 inches off my waste, and feel much, much better. At 69 years old I didn't expect to see muscles again, but I now have noticeable muscles in my legs and arms. Still have a long way to go on weight loss, but for the first time, I am having fun doing it. It is a terrific machine.
