I love this machine. A lot of thought went into its design. It's easy to set up. It's convenient, smooth and effective. I recommend using all the supporting resources such as fitness cards, vudeos and more. It's a terrific concepr!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not what I expected

I was not expecting to have to interchange all of those gadgets just for one workout. I thought everything I needed was on one machine, that is the way you make it look on TV. I don't have the time to do all that! I was trying to get away from the gym, I thought this would save time for me, but it does not!
Pros: Quiet Operation, Easy To Set Up
Cons: I wanted one setup, Not esy to interchange, Not for busy people, Lots of gadgets, Hard To Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well-made product; need DVDs

I think the Total Gym is very well-made. It handles my frame and weight very well. It stores easily and is exceptionally easy to set up. I use the Total Gym to help with flexibility and with some upper body exercises. I would like to use the Total Gym as a regular part of my strength training but can not as it does not seem to offer enough significant resistance. I realize that my comment may reflect my lack of knowledge - I wish additional structured workouts and DVDs were available. The DVDs that accompanied the Total Gym are great introductory workouts but are not very helpful (in my opinion) to someone who has been exercising on a regular basis. The workout deck is helpful but it takes a great deal of time to select exercises, try the exercises, arrange the exercises, etc.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Quiet Operation, Comfortable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Total Gym XLS Review

I think the Total Gym is effective for the upper body only. It really offers nothing for the lower body. It is extremely cumbersome to move and store. The infomercial deceptively made it look so easy to maneuver. The box with the exercise cards is antiquated. Knowing what I know now, I would not have purchased it.
Cons: Extremely heavy to move, Outdated box with cards, Inconvenient to store, Bulky, Hard To Set Up

I feel is too big and too long for a short person like me.... Im actually jumping when i push up or pull up my feet don't touch the end of the bench...when im working on leg curls, i not comfortable again because of my height. I actually like to return just don't know how....too many things to connect makes it hard to keep everything in place...
Pros: Sturdy
Cons: Uncomfortable, Bulky, Hard To Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
