I was so excited to get this Total Gym, however the cables have come undone several times while in use and I am now afraid of this gym! I am returning.

The quality of the vinyl and grip foam are very poor. There is a tear in the side of the glide board headrest and two in the padding of the wing attachment after less than a month of use. I take good care of the gym so I don't know how this happened and am disappointed. It should be more durable.
It is a good upper body workout for me so I do hope it holds up over time.

I am enjoying the effectiveness, simplicity, and convenience of my Total Gyn XLS. Becoming more familiar with the equipment and various exercises I can get on for a 10 minute workout or 30 minute one and am feeling the difference. Sometimes I mix abs with chest, sometimes I can focus on one area only. The XLS with six levels works perfectly well for a 76 year old. I feel the difference in my posture and how I carry myself feeling more fit.

All I can say is WOW !, this single piece of gear replaces every machine I need, and combined with my diet change and my cardio workouts the Total Gym XLS has helped me lose over 30 lbs, my goal is to lose 40 more lbs in the next 10 weeks and I am confident I can reach my goal of 180 lbs with the Total Gym !!

I am overweight and a diabetic. I am using the total gym to lose weight, increase my strength to improve my golf game and to help my diabetes problem. The total gym is a high reliability, world class piece of equipment that has great flexibility in the number of exercises it supports. It is really awesome! The only minor problem I would try to improve is the method of disconnecting the cables from the sliding board when you want to do sliding exercises that don't involve the cables. It involves a hook that you must disconnet from under the sliding board. It is somewhat difficult especially with the board in the lowest position. Frank Watkins

I bought this and the attachments in hopes I would find it everything I hoped. NOT - I bought the Pilates attachments and the a second Pilates video - the video shows items that do not come with the attachment package like the standing platform. You can't do everything in the video because you don't even have the standing platform don't call this a Pilates attachment package if you can't do what is shown in the videos. Or at least have the standing platform as an option for me to purchase so I can use the video I purchased. Where is your quality control. Good thing I paid in full so I can return before 60 days. The glide board seems like it scraps- not sure if this was someone's return but I would expect a new one not to scrap. I actually bought a lot of videos and attachments - the ab crunch you can mostly do without this attachment - probably a waste of money. I'm leaning to return less than month in ... really sad I wanted to like this and went so far as to pay in full.

I have had this unit for 18 years didn't use it much until pandemic hit since I use it for 15-30 mins every day and have lost from 239 down to 215 aim is 210 or under . Best part it doesn't put any shock or pressure on my back which is my main problem .

Really enjoying this so far. Only had it a couple weeks but... I am genuinely impressed with the workouts this thing can provide. Before the pandemic, I was going to the gym before work most mornings. That all came to a screeching halt last March. Been working from home for the past year and have been doing things like plank routines, pushups and dumbbells' but... the intense workouts or rather lack there of were taking a toll. My wife was in the same boat and said ... we have to do something. She is the one who suggested we go with this option.
Since our basement has a low ceiling.. it seemed like the best candidate to fit our needs. Frankly, I was making the purchase more for her and did not have high expectations. I'm happy to say I was genuinely surprised. I've been working out with it...pretty much daily... either before work or on my lunch break. So far so good. It has far surpassed my expectations. I am already feeling better and noticing a difference in how I look.
