First of all we recommend you watch the getting start video for the assembling that needs to be done.
A few of the concerns that I had was could you get a cardio workout on the Total Gym and could my husband use it to help with his recovery from ACL surgery. Yes to both. My only complain is it is a bit heavy.

I recently purchased this total gym. My son who is an avid weight lifter wanted me to purchase a separate weight set for him...once this arrived and he was able to use it he realized this was all he needed! This is an excellent machine for both of us.

I should have purchased this sooner than I did. It is a great machine makes my body work harder than I did when I was going to the 4X a week , I lost some weight in just the few weeks I had it. I will send you results when I reach my goal. :)

The machine is better quality than I expected and very easy to use. You won’t get a bodybuilder workout with this but for someone like myself and my husband - in our 40s/50s, work long hours, don’t have time for the gym we pay for every month, relatively fit but facing beer gut (him) and batwings (me) - it has been great to just jump on this for a quick workout in the morning or evening. We are already seeing results. Once you figure it out, putting the machine into and out of storage mode is easy. I paid extra for the upper body attachments and honestly I like using those and the ab cruncher better than the pulley exercises. For me it’s just easier, more comfortable and provides better resistance.
A few cons: ridiculously incomplete instructions on how to put the thing together. I found myself consulting the internet several times. Some of the attachments don’t seem very secure when attached. Not sure how long they’ll last. When not using the pulley, I need somewhere to put it. I’m still watching videos so maybe I’ll figure that last one out.
All in all, very happy with this purchase.
