Simple yet powerful

I have been using the product for three weeks now. I have been doing the circuit training trying to tone and lose some weight. I am definitely toning up, but I have not lost the weight yet. I am going to keep at it though because it is fun and easy to use. Plus, I don't have to go all the way to the gym and use 12 different machines. The DVDs and the training deck are very helpful and motivating. As far as the product itself. It is a great, simple piece of equipment. It is easy to store, but the attachments are a bit difficult to keep organized. I do not think the padding for my squat attachment is glued down well because I hear it crackle evertime I do single leg squats (like the glue is not sticking), but it is has not moved or become detached so I keep using it. My gluts are toning up very nicely! It is actually very sturdy and fits in a small room. It is also easy to clean and maintain. I love it!

I only wish that the slide board was a little longer for us tall folks (6'6") but I've learned to adjust so that i can use the machine without too much difficulty.

So many exercises, so little time

My only problem with this machine is that it is very hard to close and put away. It is sitting in the middle of my living room and I cannot get it closed for storage, even though I have tried. I also would like to have chosen the day the payment was debited from my account. The present date is pretty inconvenient. Cannot find account information anywhere to do this.

Wow it real work out

I had a knee replacement a year ago. I wish I had it then. What a change it could of been for me. I can not believe the workout that I get out of the total gym. It is amazing how much you get out of this. I actually look foward to working out everyday. I also see a change working as a medic. Its getting easier carring all my gear now (lol). I can't say anything about setting it up. When I got home I found it set up and in use by my girlfriend. As for storage, well we use it so much that we have not had time to put it away. We actually find ourselfs working out on the gym during tv commercials or when relaxing. This is not our workouts but in addition to. I have been thinking about taking it to work, but haven't been able to get it away from my girlfriend. As for my only issue with the totalgym. We have been finding the bench hanging up on the track, and a banging noise while in use. This is distracting. We have not been able to figure out what it is hanging up on.
Pros: Strengthens, Easy To Use, Comfortable, Sturdy
Cons: Noisy Operation

I am impressed by the overall quality of the product; it's not cheap or flimsy, yet folds to store nicely. The printed guides are easy to read and understand, and I was pleasantly surprised by the huge array of exercises you can do with this!I have a bad back and this has even helped alleviate my pain by helping to strengthen my lower back. The only thing I would change is that there are no really good thigh (inner/outer) exercises...the one provided with feet on the cables is awkward. I bought this all prepared to possibly send it back in the trial period...now you'll have to pry it away. Love it!

Still a beginner-but it's working

I'm using this to get in better shape and tone up. I've used it every other day for just over two months now and moved from very basic, low number of reps, to next level and double the reps. I still have a long way to go, but the Total Gym keeps me motivated.

Great for Busy People

My time is split up so oddly during the day, that I can do quick workouts and feel I am getting good benefits. Also being disabled, I am able to use setting that are easy for me to work with, and I can change settings without help. My husband also uses this and gets a great workout. The only problem I have is that some of the excercises are a little tricky as I am shorter than average.

Cons: Setup instruction unclear
