Great tape for bigger jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a truly "heavy" duty tape measure. Considering it's a 35 foot tape, I expected some heft to it, but it weighs in at 1 lb, 10 ounces. That's pretty significant if you're wearing it around all day on your tool belt. It's not what you'd want to use for you daily go-to for small shop work, but it's great for working out on long dimensional lumber or doing measurements inside a building.
The tape's width and strength make it hold up well on long extensions. The optional magnetic attachment is REALLY strong. It'll support the weight of the tape itself, so it holds well to things like steel studs and works great for overhead work on metal surfaces. The magnetic attachment comes loose in the package so you have to install it on the end of the tape. There should be some where to store the magnetic end when it's not being used. I've had it fall off one time so far but luckily I found it.
The large print is available on both sides. It has foot markers and 16" stud markers on both sides so you can read it clearly from front or back equally well.
The only negative I have is that it doesn't have incremented markers for 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc. It's hashmarked in 16ths but as I get older that extra indicator would be nice, but then again this isn't the tape I'm using for super fine work in the shop. It's a construction site tape measure.

Darn Tough Tape Measure!

For the 35’ size, it is really quite light but still feels really solid. The tape is really strong, making it a breeze to measure long distances solo. I really enjoy the removable magnet. That’s a life saver when you’re on your own!

Makes measurements easier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Tool it is better than the rest of them. I could go 13 feet and it stays stiff and doesn’t bend. The metal is good quality,very strong
The retractable setting isn’t too fast retract at a good speed and it doesn’t retract as easily when the lock is on, Also, the magnetic feature is very handy as well. I really like that. DeWalt has created another masterpiece. just doing projects makes everything so accurate using this tool I like the fact that I could stretch it all the way across my room and it doesn’t snap .one person measurement is way easier to achieve with the strong metal they have in this product .the only thing that this does is Bows more you extend it like any other.

Solid Tape Measure For Estimates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this tape measure on and off for the past month measuring doors, windows, interior trim, gutters and siding. It’s solid, light, and easy to read. Unfortunately it’s folds pretty easily when measuring in left to right off the floor and the standoff is much less than advertised

Outstanding product

I bought this product more than a month ago and I can confidently say this is product that is well worth the money. The product is durable and reliable when it comes to outside hard labor work.I use it constantly at my job and have had zero issues when working in any weather condition. Then adding the liftine warrenty to the product makes it even better with even if this durable product might break or be unable to work DeWalt provides a new product to there loyal costumers.
