Floppy Covers not suitable for field note-taking.

Is it true that the "09910" is now a different product? Is it true that the 0.044" cover thickness has been reduced to a floppy 0.017" thickness? I find note-taking with the book in my lap or on the seat of my truck to have changed from "very suitable" to "almost unusable". Maybe it saves you money but it's costing in our productivity.
Cons: Flimsy Construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Classics are Forever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Mead products for years and this composition notebook is the perfect size for everyday use. It fits perfectly in my bag and I can make needed notes as my day goes along. I have never had any issues with Mead products and this black Marbled composition is no exception. This is a true classic. My kids use these as journals and for notes. I have tried other products and I always come back to the quality of Mead!

Mead composition book

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good quality composition book. I've found that regardless of brand, the binding is a little stiff and you have to push the book down a bit to flatten the page you're writing on. That's just the nature of a composition book. But in other aspects, I find the Mead composition book to be of higher quality. The pages are a nice thickness; writing doesn't show through the other side. The pages are crisp and bright with distinct lines. Tearing out a page was slightly easier than the store brand books I've used, but it still wasn't a clean tear. The cover is pretty sturdy and protects the pages well. It's easy to transport and overall a great notebook.
Pros: Quality Writing Surface, Well Built / Quality
Cons: Difficult Sheet Removal

Great Composition Book

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get these for my kids to use for school or to journal in. I will pay extra for this brand of composition cause other cheap ones seem to fall apart. I was very aware of this product before I tried it out and still love it over others. The binding is very sturdy and the front and back are good quality. The only hard thing is you don't want to use it for something you need to rip the paper out of cause that's hard. I would recommend the mead black Composition book to family and friends.
