Issues right out the box

Verdict?
Steer clear. Buy another targus product that isn't in-effective, or try another brand.
It would get a higher rating, but it's impossible to give a broken product anything more than the bare minimum to post a review.

Ports too close

Ports too close for most flash drives out there. The 3 ports on the side are too close to fit 3 drives in place, can only use 2 drives.

Great USB port hub

My new Essential for laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4 port hub is a must for anyone with a laptop, as the smaller they build the new laptops the less USB ports they include, this port gives you 4 more USB ports and is quick and easy, just plug it in and your done. Will order more for friends and family!

Works very poorly

I bought the usb 3, 4-port Targus ACH154 a year ago. It never recognized any of my external HDD, no matter what brand or what size. It connected to my keyboard and mouse, but was unreliable, sometimes causing keys to run continuously when typingggggggg. Do not buy this garbage, ever, ever, ever. I am keeping mine around in a box so that I will never forget what brand not to buy (otherwise I would throw it completely away).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will not recognise external HDD

Felt like it almost bricked my one drive as well. Kept kicking it on and off until it started making the loudest whirring noise I’ve never heard it make before. Honestly afraid to try it again.
