Too shiny

The sheen on the black tape makes it harder to see than white tape (reflects the light). Product picture makes it look matte

Excellent usability

Have purchased this P-touch with the black on clear tape and it works great. Have been applying the tape to clear plastics containers for labeling my Hot Wheels. The tape blends well with plastic, but the lettering stands out, as if just the letters were applied to the container. It works well, and now I need a refill. Applying the tape is easy. Easiest to remove the backing, it curls a little, but does not stick to itself. Very satisfied on application and looks.

I can't tell you how much your labels help me and identifying oils that I'm distributing to my friends to help them through this crisis of the corona virus. It may not actually help us but it sure makes us feel better. I need more labels so I can keep passing out the oils

It just works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This tape works exactly as you would expect. The black on white background is as clear as any tape I`ve ever used, even at the smallest font settings, which has been an issue for other tapes I`ve used. I labeled a few items which have been outside for a couple of weeks now and have had no issues with the labels fading or peeling off. I would recommend this tape as a great, every day tape to use.

Works as advertised

If you`re looking for a different color combo that is different from the norm, this is it. I appreciate the lime green isn`t a blindingly bright lime green color and for the most part, the white lettering is pretty easy to read on the green background. I will say, it is slightly less readable when you use the smallest font setting or the "outline" style font, but this is understandable given how little white is used for these types of printing. Long story short, this is great tape if using bigger and bolder font types, and less useful for very small fonts.

Simple, effective tape

Item: Black on clear tapeI like the simplicity of the black on clear tape because it looks minimal, simple and satisfying. Using the product was very simple to use. I like that the tape is easy to paste on items. Removing it from the paper on the back which has two slits was an easy process. I did not struggle with it to be able to add it to the items I needed to label. It also did not stick to itself like regular tape does, it stay its form. The tape is also thick and good quality. I labeled a bottle that became wet and the tape remained in place. I would suggest to not label dark items because the label becomes very difficult to see. I labeled a brown bottle and it was not visible. That was completely my fault but sharing to avoid others making the same mistake. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and look forward to using it until it is completely gone. I will also consider buying it in the future.
