Unfortunately, I'm returning it. Used MX Master 3 for years before this and LOVED IT. I was excited to get this new experience and try the new haptic button. The thing I valued the most on my Master 3 was the button below your thumb that I used to "close window" or "close tab" in a browser. I was ready to try the new haptic button. When I got the mouse I had two physical issues. First, the texture of the overall mouse body was too smooth, only the right side edge and the haptic button had any grip. It made me notice that heavily relied on the palm of my hand to do a lot of my mouse movement. The MX 3 has the rubber texture all over the mouse (or maybe mine is just old and sticky and the MX 4 would have got that way eventually). The smoothness of the MX4 did not allow me to make the same movements and I noticed the mouse slipping out of my hand. Second, I do not like the bumpy texture on the thumb button. I found that the pad of my thumb became irritated after an hour of use. As for the haptic button functionality, I found it difficult to use. The setup was fine, but it was slow to initiate and in many cases you had to have an application as your ACTIVE window for any of the actions to work. I found that it was just faster to make the click in the window or app in the usual way instead of waiting for the feature to execute the command once the button was pressed. One key example was that I wanted to have the calculator be one of the apps that was launched, but it always launched behind any of my open windows, so it was just easier to launch the calculator from my quick launch as usual. Again, I love my MX master 3 (and will be buying a new one).
The haptic feature is a nice new feature so you don't get lost in the action ring menus. You got to try this. I can't wait to expand this to smart actions.

I recently picked up the Logitech MX Master 4 - Graphite, and overall it’s been a solid upgrade for both work and everyday use. The ergonomics are excellent—it fits comfortably in the hand even during long sessions, and the thumb rest makes a noticeable difference.
The scroll wheel is one of the standout features. Switching between ratchet and free-spin modes is smooth and intuitive, making it great for everything from precise edits to quickly flying through long documents. I also use the side wheel for volume control, and it’s very precise—honestly one of my favorite features.
Battery life has been impressive as well, lasting well over a month on a single charge with regular use. The ability to connect to multiple devices and switch between them seamlessly is another big plus, especially if you’re juggling a work computer and a personal one.
I find the weight to be just right, and overall the build quality feels premium. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but if you value comfort and productivity features, it’s well worth it.
Great mouse. Love how it works and its feel. I do wish the software let me make the horizontal scroll have a vertical option too and the mouse was a tad bit lighter,
The mix master 4 is a game changer! I have had the Logitech mouse for years. I started with the mx master 3 and always hated the rubber feel. Love the new changes in the 4
