Wanted to upgrade my G-level mouse...fail. I tried Bluetooth and the included usb-a dongle. I noticed unacceptable lag. My corded mouse has no issues. I only wish the corded option for the usb-c port on the mouse would allow for communication and not just power. Lame. Gave it to my wife since she uses the mouse much differently. It's a great physically feeling mouse and I was looking forward to it. Bummer
Excellent product as usual for the MX Master. My only issue with pretty much all the Logitech mice are my hands are a size 11 which doesn’t fit well with really any manufacturer. Would love a “Large” size option, but I have zero issues with the performance of the mouse and app. Again great product, have bought the Ergo, Lift and all 4 models of the MX Master and this is my favorite mouse.
I use the MX 4 more than I use the keyboard. Programmable buttons with a wide selection of options to make navigating apps and web sites quick and easy.
Everything is great except the WiFi dongle caused lag on the mouse. Switching to Bluetooth fixed it but sucks that an expensive mouse has this problem. It MIGHT be the TV/HDMI cable from what I’m reading which maybe is more reasonable but be aware
I tried this mouse because I absolutely love the MX 3S. For me the 4 was a step backwards in design. Between the change in materials, additional weight, and the slightly shorter height / sloping tail I found this mouse constantly slipping from my hand. I could no long easily pick up the mouse and move it's location as I'm working. Any time I did try to pick it up I would accidentally trigger the action ring trying to grip it because of it's weight. I really liked the action ring and the haptics were okay, but despite these new features I ended up sending this mouse back and ordering another 3S which is the perfect mouse IMO. I have larger than average hands so that is something to factor in. For average sized hands the 4 might be perfect for you. I'm assuming there was a ton of product testing that went into the decision, but I really don't understand why Logitech decided to change the shape of their highly successful 3S. Please return to the shape of the 3S if you make another mouse in this family!
I've been using the second generation MX master for quite a long time. I had been holding out on upgrading because the changes seem to be minimal. Adding haptic feedback has changed the game. Setting up the action ring is still quite the learning curve, but I'm having fun coming up with new ideas for layouts. Unfortunately, the customization software could use some work. Messing with icons and fonts is a nightmare and often doesn't result in what I want.
