Quality Control Issue Causes Self-Shutoff

I bought this lamp 3 months ago and within the first few days of use, it was shutting itself off or changing light settings repeatedly. I've put up with it by leaving it far from any vibrations to cut the frequency of self shut-off down to every 10 minutes or so but the issue has progressively gotten worse. I've finally looked inside and found that the "touch sensor" was never adhered to the case of the light. I am left with a non-functional light after a few months of light use, probably because of QC issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice stable desk lamp with a low profile base and a slim adjustable neck. The three levels of light intensity and the easily accessible button switch at the end of the bulb/neck make it easy to use. Disappointing that the large base does not include a USB or two to charge other devices!
