Great Idea!

I purchased 2 and a dowel that fit in the hole. Now I can put the roll of paper on the dowel so I have a paper dispenser too!

One-handed Tape from about Anywhere!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The clip holds on to nearly anything so you can pretty much find a place to put it anywhere you are working or just in a regularly convenient spot for when you need a quick piece of tape. I prefer it to a traditional tape holder.

Didn’t even know how necessary

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this product to test. It is one of those items you didn’t know you needed until you had it. Easy to clip on and stays in place. Now that the tape dispenser has a dedicated home it is never lost and makes tape jobs a breeze.

Wrapping presents is a breeze

Horrible design

This clip on tape dispenser seemed like it would be fabulous. Unfortunately, there's no way to "lock" it in place so anytime I try to tear off a piece of tape, it just swivels. I end up needing to use 2 hands - one hand to hold it from swiveling and the other to tear off tape. If there was a way to lock the dispenser, it would be fantastic!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It Works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this from 3M for free to review. I like the fact it clips onto the table and can face multiple directions. It's just been a bit finicky to get the tape unless it's facing the same direction as the clip.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Limited Practicality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample in exchange for writing a review, so I tried to give it a shot at my desk. I noticed right away that there was no good place to clip it. It's bigger than it seems like it would be, so anything too close to the workspace is in the way. Also, it looked really out of place in the office.
So that I could get a functional idea of it, I attached it to a shelf next to my desk. It's sturdier than I expected. It is easy to use. I was really surprised at how easily I could get it positioned correctly. It flexed some as I pulled at the tape, but it didn't twist or turn out of position.
Overall, I gave it a four star review because I can think of a few uses where this could come in handy, like Christmas and birthday presents, crafting, etc.... For office use, I think most people would prefer something different.
