To charge or not to charge, where did type - C go?

I preferred the type-c charger. Going back to a pin based charger, and adding additional expenses for a second charger was not something I was happy about doing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Found my HP Pavilion laptop would not charge even when plugged into an electrical outlet. Swapped out the original HP 45W AC Adapter with this HP 90W Smart AC Adapter and now my HP Pavilion laptop charges when plugged into an electrical outlet, charges fast, and whenever required.
I would recommend this to a friend!
