Quality Surge Protector with a Mounting Flaw

A quality Belkin product, despite an astonishing design flaw by such a mature company. The slotted keyholes on the back of the unit are upside down. Hanging the unit upside down puts the power cord at the bottom and the wire guides at the top. So, I mounted it right side up (power cord at TOP), by sliding it UP on my mounting screws (so they lock in) and then screwing a small, thin block of wood to the wall, at the lower end of the unit, to hold it up in that vertical position. Cable guide is now at the bottom, where it actually helps with wires!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Garbage, because of chintzy ethernet wiring

Ethernet ports are wired for 10Base-T, which makes them utterly useless for modern networking equipment. Attached equipment warranty is void if you don't have everything connected through the surge protector, rendering the entire thing worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Two very annoying design flaws: 1) The unit appears designed to be mounted vertically, with the supply power cord and on/off switch at the top and the coax jacks at the bottom. However, if you orient it this way, the keyhole slots on the back for mounting are upside down, meaning that the larger, opening part of those slots are at the top. 2) The labels for the which are the inputs vs. outputs for the phone and coax jacks are totally covered up by the plastic cable bundling arms at the (supposedly) bottom of the unit. You have to bend them up - to almost the point of breaking - to be able to read which are inputs vs. outputs. I can't yet comment on how well the unit protects against surges - and hope I never have to.

Clamping Voltage Higher Than Specified, Returned

The online specs list a clamping voltage of 330 volts, which is excellent.
The surge protector I received had an actual clamping voltage of 400 volts, not 330 volts, and the box it came in listed the clamping voltage as 500 volts. I returned this surge protector and purchased a different brand that has an actual clamping voltage of 330 volts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the slim design

Great for office!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector is great for a home office. I'm currently a remote worker, and this is all that I need to get my office running. And on the plus side, it has a sleek design, which doesn't require much space at all. I also love the fact that it has a cable management clip to help keep things organized. I almost forgot to mention that it has 12 outlets. That itself is a great big plus as well. It's definitely user friendly.
