I love OttLites! I wanted the brightest desk lamp to replace my old one that finally gave out. This one does not seem nearly as bright, and it's so hard to compare brightness settings when buying these. Also, the controls are very sensitive, which would be great except I keep inadvertently changing the settings! I like to keep it right by my side while I'm working, but I find that if my hand or crafting materials touch the lamp lightly it changes the settings and I have to fuss with it to get it back to the way I like it. All in all, though, it is an Ott Lite, and I would recommend them to everyone who does detailed work!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good design - touch activated

The touch buttons are a really nice feature. Very easy to change the brightness levels and the color modes. The 40 minute time is a different but kinda cool feature too. The neck is extremely flexible and holds position without sagging. I also think the two shades set this lamp apart. At first I didn't understand why you would need them, but now really get it. It's nice to have lots of options. Good design overall.

Happy Eyes

Amazing lighting. I work from home and my area was really dark. This new lamp is able to shine the light right where I need it and I can move it/flex the neck whenever I need to. It holds position really well too. No drooping. The different brightness levels are really nice too. The light quality is really the thing that makes this light amazing. My eyes are happy with it.

Big Upgrade

I was working with one of those old banker's lamps with the green shade and yellowy bulb. I was having headaches so looked for a new light. This one blew me away! The light is so crisp that I can see all the fine print without a problem. If I want the yellowy light ... no prob. There are three color modes and one of them is like the sunset. It was a big upgrade for me.

Colors are so true!

I use this lamp in my craft room. The light is really clear and pure. I can see all of the colors of my papers and stickers without having to take them outside to the sun. I trust the light to show me the right colors. And, it's flexible so I can move it as I work.

Two Shades for Great Flexibility

This light is easy on the eyes and can be positioned in lots of different ways. The two shade feature is really helpful. The light is bright but not harsh and you can dim it. Great directional task light

Study Space Lighting

I bought this lamp for my daughter for her study space. The lighting in her room isn't great so this was a needed purchase. Provides great light over her school work and computer. There are three different colors of light and she can change the brightness. Nice clear light. She says it makes reading easier for her.

Two Shades Makes a Big Difference

I use my computer all the time, but still reference books and take notes and sketch at the same time. I have this lamp placed between my computer (on the left) and my writing/reading area (on the right). The two shades let me adjust the light over the two spaces. Or move them and concentrate on one space. I also like the dimming feature. Later at night, I don't want it to be as bright, so just turn it down and change to the yellowish mode. During the day I like it on the white mode so I can see all the details. Great purchase.
