Getting the brightness of the OttLite brand is great. I do like how there are multiple colors this light can do. I also like how I can change both the position of the lights themselves and the flexablilty of the arm. What I do not like though is the fact that the power button is very touchy and if you press to hard or not hard enough it won't come on. You have to hit the power button at the same exact pressure to get it to come on which for me leads to sometimes it coming on with 1 push and sometimes I have to hit the button 3 or 4 times before it comes on. I also like having my lights on a "smart" plug so I can turn it on as I'm waking in the dark room but this one has to have the power button pressed each time once the power is cut off so it won't work with the smart plugs. Overall great light but because of not working with smart plugs and the fact the power button is touchy I have take 2 stars from it. For those that don't need it on a smart plug or doesn't mind the touchy button you might see it as a 4/5 star light!

Decent lamp but not perfect

This lamp gives a good amount of light, but I still needed a second light on my craft desk. I like the moveable split-light feature. It let me target the light somewhat. Overall, I think it's a decent lamp. I appreciate being able to change the color value of the light, and the intensity. I kept it on high the whole time though. The one thing I don't like is that any type of accidental touch, whether with fingers or a piece of paper laid on the base, etc., the lamp settings will change. It's very finicky in that way.

I purchased my first Dual Head Lamp several years ago for my sewing. My husband actually purchased it for me for a Christmas present. It was great- helped see true colors, bendable and wide to light up a lot, plus natural light and is dimmable. Unfortunately it was so great that my husband stole it for his desk. So I just purchased 2 more, for sewing and my desk! Great value!!

I bought this for my husband to use at his desk and he’s very pleased with it. It gives light where he needs it most and has a nice soft color. Easy to adjust position and light settings.

Elongated light, dimmable, 3 color modes LOVE IT!

First, I love Ottlites. This will be my fifth. If your trying to do a craft or see a printed page their light quality is beyond compare. It truly makes a difference. But what I love about this lamp in particular is that in addition to Ottlite quality, it provides an elongated range of light, has three modes of color, is dimmable and has a timer! It's worth the extra bucks! I only wish is came in black. Honestly, I love it so much I actually came to this sight to consider buying another incase they stop making this one and I never do that.
