the timers are set to rinse agitate about 4-5 secs

Good washer but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I like the washer but am very disappointed that two features are missing and I didn't realize to look for them until I had the washer home. First is no place to put softener in so you have to hang around for rinse cycle if you want it in then. Second and I consider this major is that if you leave the top up while filling it will not agitate but will continue the cycle by emptying and filling water causing a major waste of water and soap. My old washer would just not run when top was up.

Totally inefficient in washing and rinsing clothes

This is absolutely the worst washing machine I have ever owned (and at 64, I've had many washers). Had I known about the "water saving feature" or "energy saving feature", I never would have bought it. I have to wash every load on SUPER (no matter how large the load is) to get enough water to "wash" the clothes. Forget the rinse cycle....it's non-existent. A little dab of water comes into the tub for "rinsing", added to the leftover "wash water" and then agitates for about 5 seconds. Result is still soapy clothes, softener stained clothes (even when diluting the softener), so stay away from this product. I have ALL GE applicances in my home, but I'm truly sorry that I have this washer, and I'm stuck with it.

don't buy this washer....you'll be as sorry as I have been!! It's pitiful and you'll end up wasting water. The water levels say small, large and super, but what you get is miniscule, small and medium. The rinse cycle will NOT give you even enough water to cover the clothes and only agitates for approx. 4 seconds (I timed it!) I DO use "HE" detergent, but still have to run most loads on the rinse cycle twice to get all the "grunge" out of the wash.
Again.....DO NOT buy this washer!! I intend to replace it mine as soon as I can afford it!

I do not recomend this product. I have never had a washer I had to baby sit.I f you keek turning it on rinse you can get enough water to rinse your clothes, , but first you have to turn it to spin on the rinse cycle to get the water and soap out, then turn it back to rinse. I wish I had never seen this washer. I will never buy another GE product.

Big Mistake !!!

I thought there was something wrong with my washer, so I called for a service appt. only to find out that there is nothing wrong with my washer, that it was made to only add 11 gallons of water at the rinse cycle. I am more surprised that GE would design a washer that wouldn't add enough water at the rinse cycle to even cover the clothes. I bought GE because of it's wonderful reputation & quality...that no longer holds true. I am stuck with this machine till.......VERY expensive lesson. What happened to customer satisfaction ? GE should do something to compensate those of us who got the shaft buying this washer.

First use right out of the box this washer does not complete the wash cycle. The pointer on the control hangs (stops) at the rinse point and never continues. The items come out wet and dripping with soap.
