This is not my first Garmin watch. But this watch shows that Garmin has done a great job of improving its products. Lots of new useful and necessary functions. Durability and reliability in operation - that's what you expect from Garmin and you get exactly that!

Nice Upgrade from an Apple Ultra 2

I recently purchased my Garmin Tactix 8 51 mm AMOLED after becoming increasingly frustrated with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 battery life and activity tracking capabilities. I have owned previous generations of the Garmin Fenix watch but switched to the Apple Ultra for compatibility with the Apple ecosystem. Now, with the improved features on the Tactix 8 that accommodate calls and messages, improved screen quality, battery life and broad activity tracking capabilities, I decided to switch back to Garmin. Wow - I am more impressed with the Tactix 8 than I could have imagined. Build quality and feature functionality have come a long way and fit my smart watch needs perfectly. A recent trip through Glacier National Park, training exercises of all types, sleep tracking/coaching, navigation and wearability have been put to the test over the past couple of weeks - what an improvement over past generations of Garmin and the Apple Watch Ultra 2! The watch is expensive but as an active outdoor sports and activity enthusiast the price is worth it. I highly recommend the Tactix 8!

Recently upgraded from a Fenix 7x Pro to the Tactix 8 AMOLED 51mm. By far the best watch I’ve ever owned. The features, durability, 29 day battery life and beautiful display are perfect!

I have owned a lot of watches and this is by far the best. My last one was the Apple Watch Ultra and it is not on par with this watch. I highly recommend this watch for any outdoor enthusiasts and survivalist.

I have been through a lot of different watches with little success of finding exactly what I wanted. Well I can honestly say this watch checks all of the boxes. It is a little pricey but in my opinion worth every cent.
