We live in a coastal community and the salt air does tend to corrode the battery connections. I think this might be the second igniter kit I've installed since we bought our Weber BBQ in 2009. Not too bad! What I really appreciate is that you can find replacement parts for virtually any part that might fail and this makes the initial investment in a Weber product easy to justify.
