My Weber Genesis E310 grill is new again! My last igniter broke, because I use the included alkaline battery. The alkaline battery corroded and damaged the previous igniter. I used a lithium battery on this one. Hopefully this new igniter will last a lifetime now. I wish Weber would put some kind of notation or not include alkaline batteries in their kits, as I assume most grills hibernate for the winter, giving alkaline batteries their moment to explode.
I hadn't ever replaced the original igniter, and I've had this grill for what, a decade?? Hadn't worked for most of that time. MY fault - I hadn't ever replaced the battery, and of course it bled and ruined the switch. Weber engineering is of course elegant, and the new one was very easy to install. OF COURSE it works flawlessly.
Easy to replace! Just pop out the old igniter module box, unplug the wires, and slide the igniter out from underneath. 5 minute job. New one ignites like butter. This was my first replacement on my Genesis. Had my grill for almost 10 years.
Not a replacement for my grill. My igniter connects to four burners and this has only 2 wires. This was the product recommended for my grill and I cannot use it to replace my bad igniter
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
