Very easy to install and worked perfectly, Weber is still a quality product. The only complaint I have is the grill covers are poor quality, as I am on my third one.
After about 7 years of frequent usage the igniter on my Weber grill would no longer work. I attempted to replace the battery but alas, it would no longer work.
I shopped around for a replacement and although there were some less expensive models on other websites , I decided to stick with Weber and got the replacement directly from them. I’ll add that I really liked the search feature on the Weber website that gave me confidence that the igniter I was purchasing was the correct one. Even though I had my manual handy I wasn’t sure if the “knock off” replacement(s) from the other websites were completely compatible.
I’m not very handy so I looked at some online videos to buoy my confidence at the installation. The igniter arrived and I reviewed the written instructions that came with it (which matched up with the videos I’d seen) and proceeded to undertake the installation.
Removal of the old part and installation of the new igniter was easy. Happily I didn’t have any problems (such as a rusty screw) which made it a quick and uneventful job. I think it took me all of 15 minutes from start to finish. Turned on the propane, pushed the button and the grill fired right up. (Forgive the pun but I couldn’t resist).
Its been over a month and I’ve used the grill multiple times and it has worked the first time each and every time. I couldn’t be happier.
