Meta Quest 3…A worthy successor

Out of the box i was instantly impressed. Being an avid VR fan since 2016; its becomes easier to judge and appreciate the new innovations and updates brought into the VR ecosystem. Meta Quest 3 has improved our VR journey significantly. I consider the 3 the mainstream ‘average’ headset for consumers; with other cheaper and much more expensive sets being available. With the 3, average has become amazingly capable an immersive. For the price, robustness and ease of naviagation of the Meta ecosystem; you cannot match this value. For those just entering the VR experience; you are getting the benefit of years of technological advancements. Thanks Meta, you’re keeping this old guy immersed and excited for the future. If i could have an ask, it would be to add a 3D 180 camera to the headset. I have a stand alone VR 180 camera and view my videos on the 3; having a built in capability would be excellent.

Really great headset, only draw back is the battery drain. I can't find a charger that will keep up with the rate of battery usage.

From the beginning of setting up and going through the tutorials..I wa totally amazed how better over the quest 2 this was. I still use my quest to.. went to my wife.. so I Say... that part is still too be resolved. I made mistake of introducing her to the quest with my new quest 3.. she loved it from the start too. Great job!! I have my whole office tech guys fixing to buy one!! Lol

The controls are not as good as the Quest 2 like the motion isn’t that good meaning some games that require quick movements and wish the pancake lenses was bigger for the price I paid . Battery for the Quest 3 drains really fast too

Quest 3 is great. However, the strap is poor. I will have to upgrade for comfort.

Major upgrade from quest 2

Overall i love it, the quest 2 was my go to for a long time but wow the upgrades are amazzzzzing! the only issue for me is the stock strap sucks, but i mean i would have got a new elite or bobo head strap anyways so it was no biggie.

Most games have the gameplay quality of those from the 80’s and 90’s. I thought I had waited long enough that VR games would have caught up with mobile games at least but obviously not yet

I’ve been using VR since the original Rift was released years ago and have owned every Meta headset -with the exception of the Pro. The Quest 3 is phenomenal. It’s basically all of the other headsets perfected. For the price there is nothing that compares.
