Will Meta Fall Behind New Apple Headset

I am fairly new to the realm of virtual headsets and knew that meta was the option for me to try. My first impressions were delightful but felt like the advertising for pass through was misleading. When I enter pass though the objects are “fuzzy” and doing anything on a iPhone/ laptop with the headset on is a bit of a hassle.
The headset is great but I would definitely explore making the headset thinner, lighter, and continue to make pass through better.
My only concern would be if Meta will fall behind Apples new XR offering. I recently tried this headset out and it’s a night and day difference. While the cost is a huge barrier if apple ever lowers its cost Meta will be in serious trouble.

Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall as a headset it does a lot of things really good but a few things are misleading as well.
My first unit that I received unfortunately wasn't good and I had to RMA it, once I got my second unit I noticed similar problems again.
My big issues are with the pass threw. I was really excited to play the lego game but atm anything that uses passthrew imo is not worth playing if all the headsets are like this.
I play in a very well lite up room with a big window, 2 elgato key lights and even 4 more lights above me if I need them. No matter the light combination that I turn on, it always looks grainy. What was weird thou, my second headset looked totally normal foe the first 30 seconds when I turned it on. No issues at all.
My second problem is my hand when I move it has a very noticeable warping around it plus a studder. I had to sent the first unit back because of the studder was so bad my hand would be almost a second ahead of itself from what I was seeing.
Now when I'm in actual vr games, that's where this thing shines and things like beat Saber are tons of fun.
Personally knowing what I do now, I think I'd wait a few more years for the quest 4 and then play that instead because hopefully they fix all the software on the passthrew by then.

Love my quest

Meta quest 3 WOW

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the meta quest 3 after using a grandchild's at Christmas and was so wowed by the experience that I went out and bought myself one. It is great because I was snowed in for a couple of days but was able to talk to people all around the world. It helps with the loneliness that many seniors suffer from. I love it and recommend it to everyone. It is the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Improved resolution, speed and tracking. Overall very impressive. Controllers are a bit awkward as the upper buttons can be hard to reach. Would be nice if there was a smaller/slimmer version. Also, casting options have been limited. Can no longer cast to somethings I could in the past. Overall experience has been great though.
