My Favorite Thing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always thought of VR as a crappy sideshow that would never be ready for prime time - maybe not even in the distant dystopian future. Then Apple’s Vision Pro announcement got me excited about the possibilities of mixed reality - but there was no way I was going to buy one.
Then along comes the Meta Quest 3 with a very similar suite of features, and I decided to take the plunge. What I discovered was that as neat as mixed reality is (and the Quest 3 does a GOOD job with it), the actual VR experiences really won me over. Good full-length games like Asgard’s Wrath 2 and Assassin’s Creed Nexus completely change my impression of the VR landscape. I can’t even enjoy playing games on my Xbox anymore. VR is all I want to do!
My Meta Quest 3 has become my very favorite possession, and I have tricked it out with WAY too many accessories at this point! I tell everyone I meet that they simply have to try what’s available now. The future is here, and it’s not even quite a dystopia - yet!

VR newbie first thoughts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun toy. Easy setup and the ability to use the prescription lens from Zenni is a plus. Experienced with volume dropping to 0 on its own, “tech” support was less than helpful but a couple of factory resets did the trick. As for accessories, the headset should be supplied with the non-sweat absorbing version instead.

Solid upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely solid improvement over the quest 2, by all means it’s worth the price. We have the original, 2 & 3 and by far this is the preferred headset. Just the comfort and weight improvements alone make it so much better to use. Then you add in the expanded view and under the hood upgrades, there’s just no contest. This is the current standard bearer in the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a great product, lighter than its predecessor the oculus quest 2. It has better graphics and hand tracking. The strap could be better but it’s still better than the quest 2 strap. Pass through mode is also really fun to use. Something I love that just feels so high tech is I can just use it like a computer in pass through mode. Watching videos and whatnot. I can even use it like a touchscreen when I have hand tracking on which is insane. I love how the controllers are more compact now so your less likely to hit them on things. Ones last thing the borders you can set up are really well done I can even map out my whole house. Overall I love it!

First VR Headset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being my first VR experience, I don't have much to base this review, but the Quest 3 has met or blown away every expectation I had. Only issue so far is the volume would sometimes increase itself without input and I would have to lower it only to repeat very few minutes. Very annoying, but hasn't happened in the past week or so- I assume it could be a software issue that was patched. Also, I bought an elite-style battery headstrap (Aubika) for better stability and longevity, and active handstraps (AMVR) as I find my hands to cramp from holding the controllers for extended periods of time.

Game Changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The step up from Quest 2 to 3 is substantial. The lenses have a great sweet spot, and its resolution and frame rate are worth talking about. The controllers are much more versatile without large rings jutting out. The Quest store, by now, has plenty of experiences worth the price.
