Oculus 3 review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The graphics are awesome, definitely a big improvement from the Oculus two. I highly recommend an aftermarket head strap, I got one with the battery pack. Definitely improves the comfortability and the battery life. The set up was super easy. I really feel like Oculus is ahead of the game when it comes all virtual reality setups.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely, A game changer in terms of VR innovation but it fails to meet expectations in terms of battery power.

Really enjoying it so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color video passthrough is a big improvement! I am still figuring out if the rest of it is a big *enough* improvement over a Quest 2 to merit the upgrade cost, but it did blow me away to walk into the other room to get new batteries for the controllers and then walk back in and there was the home screen sitting right where I left it in the room. :)

A door to the future is wide open for all of us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Quest 3 is the most accessible, affordable and highest quality entry point to VR there is. I evangelize the device a lot, especially to my family and other people I want to jump into the metaverse with. Join those of us living in tomorrow today with the Quest 3.
First of all, I'm not technology inclined, I consider myself a pretty regular person. I had absolutely no problems getting the Quest 3 working, everything from the starter apps to using the controllers was intuitive and simple. It reminded me of using a high end cellphone, everything works exactly the way you'd expect or want it to without fuss. I didn't have to look up any FAQs or call a relative for help with anything. I can just put the headset on, point at what I want to do in the library, and go. It's also amazing to me that I don't need controllers for a lot of the stuff I like to do, like watching YouTube videos or movies, because the Quest 3 can detect my actual hands.
I can't believe how convenient and comfortable the Quest 3 is. I'd compare wearing the headset to wearing a very comfortable, lightweight bike helmet. Once you're immersed in a VR activity, I forget there's anything there. The faceplate is very comfortable, and the headstrap adjusts to fit just about any size head. I've put the same device I use on my young son and my wife, and making either of them comfortable takes just a few seconds. The battery lasts long enough to watch a full length movie, and more than long enough to wear me out playing most rhythm games.
I've met quite a few very nice folks visiting the Meta worlds. It's really fun to wander around multiplayer environments, stumbling on activities like piloting a pirate ship or playing corn hole in a woodsy camp ground. I find that people in the Meta worlds are kind and polite, maybe because everyone is just there to relax and have a good time. I've met strangers who I now consider friends, who I can check in with easily and chat regularly. The relationships I've formed in VR are part of my real social circle.
I've had experiences in apps which emotionally moved me, sincerely. I had a very cathartic happy cry listening to other users talk about cherished family traditions last week in Pillow, and just thinking about it is putting a smile on my face right now. Other workout and rhythm game apps have got my heart pumping, and as an older person, I've noticed improvements to my health in simple ways which really matter to me, like how it's easier to stand up from the couch, and better numbers when I take my blood pressure. It seems like every time I get a new app from the store, I'm opening a door into a new adventure, exploring places I could never imagine actually being. A few nights ago, I did a virtual spacewalk from the ISS, and it was beautiful. Getting a new app from the store is exciting, because it's like giving myself the reward of a new, impossible experience.
VR has improved my physical, social and mental health in ways that I never expected, and I've loved my experience with the Quest 3. I might have been so taken aback because I didn't know all of the device features when I first bought it. I thought I was just going to play a few video games occassionally, maybe go into some virtual worlds to use them as a chatroom, and I certainly have done that. But there's also a Metaverse of other experiences I couldn't have imagined.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that fact I can see what’s in front of me while wearing the quest 3. It’s comfortable with the original head band. The controller’s are my favorite. I like the weight and the durable feel they have. I appreciate the game that came with my purchase and the 6 month trial of meta plus. Overall I’m very pleased with the quest 3. What a great product. Well done.

First VR experience, mind blown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first VR I ever had but it is magical as I had always hoped. Horror games are genuinely scary and everything is much more possible in VR. My only gripe is the low battery life but it is a fun system. If your think about getting it, get it. Just make sure you have enough space to play as I have first hand experience in accidentally smashing my hand/controller into other things and people lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had each and every VR headset since they started and let me tell you the Meta Quest 3 will blow your socks off! there is no comparison on the market. Go get yourself a quest 3 and be prepared to be amazed. I wish I could add a video of my son opening his Meta Quest 3 for Christmas he literally cried. He was so happy and gave round of hugs to each and every person that was in our house. Not a dry eye around. 🫶🏼
