Great next gen headset - love playing VR again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a long time supporter of VR for almost a decade and love to see the progress being made by Meta in both hardware and software design. I agree that there are struggles with the software end of things (like not being able to delete apps from your app list, or organize by folder, other simple little bugs here and there) but those exist on all the Meta platform products. The Quest 3 is astonishingly clear and the price point is affordable and enjoyable from every aspect. The default strap is very lack luster, but good enough for most users, as well as doing anything lying down as it's flat and doesn't bend or blur vision like after market or higher end battery straps. I have opted to use a VIVE DAS headset with 3D printed adapters, which is very thin in the back to provide lying down without issues, but also give better audio quality and a spot for an extra battery pack connection of my choice. The camera quality increases with more lumens just like any camera does - and after buying 3 of these headsets I can say without a doubt it's great to see the progress being made by Meta. Support has been hit or miss with issues I ran into along the way - and the pro controllers still have the same bugs on the Quest 3 as they did with my Quest 2 - but the adjustable IPD values and lenses on the Quest 3 are top notch and function great. Just wish we had the oled black levels of the original quest 1 screens - which I hope will happen as technology improves.

Really Good but not great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I am very happy with the Meta Quest 3. I would recommend it to any friend asking me about it without hesitation.
However its not perfect. The following is a list of my complaints.
1. My eye lashes are constantly hitting the lenses and dirtying them. I've already adjusted it to max distance.
2. The video passthrough quality is not very good. I have to take 3 floor lamps to light up my room to increase quality and its still not great. It should in my humble opinion work better in regular lighting or even dim lighting.
3. It's not hard to setup but it is a pain and time consuming. On the bright side you do it once and your done. My complaint here is admittedly nit picky.
4. I can't find a way to shut it down other then holding the power button down. It would be nice for the interface to have a shutdown option similar to windows. Like number 3 this one is pretty minor.
So in closing I love my MQ3 and would highly recommend it to anyone who can afford it. I use it as much as my Xbox and PC now alternating between the 3. So much fun. I would use it even more if I had more friends with them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have play on the Quest 2 before so I thought I would get the Quest 3. I definitely like the color pass through tech. It’s a bit grainy but still way better than the grey scale of the Q2. The comfort is about the same, still a little heavy to the front but the upgraded head strap helps with that. The in app graphics are great though! Over all I am very pleased to have purchased the Q3 rather than the Q2.
