It’s okay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Quest 3 is okay, it is more comfortable than its predecessor. Battery life is a lot worse. Pretty much only option is to play this on air link so you do have the freedom without cords. Has built in speakers which are room speakers, but would like to have more comfort and personal sound with over the ear speakers built in. They have the audio jack so you can use your own headphones, but personally to me any additional headphones are uncomfortable.

Good but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy using my new toy. It was simple enough to set up, and the headgear, while a little bulky and heftier than I'd like, is fairly comfortable. There are a few things that could be improved upon. The battery life, for instance, is ridiculously short. It is highway robbery to offer a device that costs as much as it does with such a short battery life and then expect the consumer to buy an extender to combat said issue. It's giving, "I know you are a sucker, and I don't care 'cause I will get paid." The ability to exit out of apps could be better. It's possible that I just don't know what I'm doing, but pressing the meta button is the only way I know how to back out of apps I'm finished with. There isn't always a clear exit within the gaming app when in the middle of playing it. The device sometimes glitches and has to be restarted when I've been using it for an extended period of time. I've literally only had this thing for less than a month, so I'm not so impressed with that little flaw, especially at the price point I paid. There are so few games available that are free of charge, and the Meta Quest subscribed games disappear when you no longer have the subscription. Again, at the price you pay for this device, there should be more available at no charge. Also, if I have a subscription and download a game, once it's downloaded, it should be mine to keep forever. Forcing the consumer to pay for a subscription in order to keep the games they essentially paid to download is ridiculous. These are things that I wish had known prior to purchasing this device. It might have deterred me from doing so. But I will take that L. I didn't do that much research. Overall, while I do have some complaints, I'm mostly happy with my purchase.

Fantastic device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been waiting a long time to get VR. Most headsets require a lot of setup, such as dragging an entire PlayStation to your friends house, or installing sensors all over the room. That was too much work for me.
My favorite thing about the Meta Quest 3 is I can just put it on and start playing in any room. That was especially fun on Christmas when I could take it to various houses and share the new toy with my family.
There is still some setup, but the AR functionality makes it really easy. It scans my environment, sets up a boundary for where it's safe to play, and then I can go into the game confident I won't walk into any furniture. A very intuitive, helpful experience.
Overall, the pick-up-and-go simplicity of the Meta Quest 3 is exactly what I've been waiting for and I have not been disappointed.

Amazing purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Me and my oldest child saved up money to purchase the Quest 3, upgrading from the first Quest. The head strap is so much more comfortable and a lot easier to tighten and loosen. We love the added feature of mixed reality. Playing a game using your surrounds is mind blowing! I highly recommend purchasing if you want to try a virtual reality experience!

Hands down, it changed our gaming preferences. I can sit here all day and tell you how amazng the Meta Quest 3 is and everything about it. However, it will do you no justice, unless you have one for yourself! It's the only way you can feel the full effect of this outstanding VR system! There is nothing out there like the Metaverse!
