Good upgrade from the Quest 2. I like the passthrough mode for AR/Mixed Reality apps and games. Getting Asgaurd's Wrath II for free was a plus! Great game that showcases the new features of the headset. Very cool!

Really great upgrade from the quest 2. Still has the same headband/fit issue as previous version so am aftermarket adjustable headband is required. Nevertheless, really nice update.

Great but needs upgrades

The headset is great, but comfort is lacking without a 3rd party head strap.
Also casting options for the device are super limited and it takes a performance hit when trying to cast.
Using link software to play PC VR games seems a better option than to buy the games in the meta store and try cast them for friends to view

Tracking is horrible

The tracking is so horrible that the kids don’t want to play with it. What can be done?

Hey there Virginia! If your headset isn't able to track correctly, make sure you're in a room with sufficient lighting and without any reflective surfaces or LED strips. You can also wipe the headset cameras with a dry microfiber cloth, then reboot the headset as well. This is our second oculus set. We bought our oculus 2 in 2022 and loved them. We bought 2 more upgraded oculus 3s for Christmas. We gave our other set to our daughter in New York.
They are easy to use. They are fun. We play Put Put all together, even with our daughter. We exercise with them. I have learned to meditate with our oculus. And the games range in price from free on up. Put them on and you are in another world.

Welp if you are reading this then you are deep scrolling on reviews. That battery life sucks so plan on playing it wired if you want to play more than 30 mins. 60 if you are doing remote desktop play. graphics are no where near as good as represented. especially the cameras for the altered reality. However its still neat and you can still have fun with it regardless. It was a painless setup, basically plug in play once you download the oculus app. dont bother buying things in the oculus store unless you want it to be able to play mobile, and even then you have to have the storage for it... and the battery life. so in conclusion, if you have the money to toss at a incomplete product that you can still have fun with. go for it. other wise just want 3-4 years until they fix these issues.
