I love this headset. It is so much more clear than the Quest 2. The guardian is also much more convenient, because it automatically scans your room. Mixed reality games are so much fun and I never thought I would actually be into them. The passthrough isn't perfect, but it is good enough to have fun and be able to do a lot of things without taking off the headset. Just don't expect to read tiny letters (I don't expect the tech to be that advanced right now, but just mentioning it). It is way better than I expected. I was originally attracted to the Quest because I had really bad motion sickness, but switching to the Quest I can play games for hours. I do tend to get hungry after though.

Not much different over quest 2

Besides being lighter it doesn't seem to be much different then the quest 2 I have. I will say it's quicker to boot up and battery lasts longer. I don't really like the new controllers either. Take it or leave it. If your looking to replace your quest 2 I'd wait until the 3 is on sale.

Let me start by saying how amazing the System is. The picture quality is amazing and so much better than the VR 2. For the Holidays my son was gifted two Meta Quest gift cards that he is not able to redeem due to insufficient numbers in the card. Could you please help?

Excellent Upgrade

Definitely an amazing upgrade, still some work to be done - but overall amazing product. Much more comfortable than the Quest 2, but the strap and weight distribution is still uncomfortable during physical games and after long periods. The resolution is way better and RGB makes a huge difference, still needs better processing power, but it is a huge upgrade. The game selection is getting better, but I wish they’d invest in more free games by empowering developers monetarily and increasing users of the tech. Was hoping for a little more competition with the power of the Vision Pro, but it’s absolutely worth the money. Maybe a more expensive, upgraded option with more free games and better tech? Definitely worth the cost - and shipping was easy and pain free.

Best standalone VR HMD but comfort needs work

Using quest 3 has been a fantastic experience with it's mixed reality, the future upgrades could be more exciting! The display quality of VR games is top notch. The headset doesn't get hot which is commendable for such processing power. Quest 3 is definitely the best standalone headset out there. However, the accessories add-ons feel quite pricey.
The quest 3 came with a fabric facial interface which catches lot of dust, bacteria and causes skin irritation on the face, it should by default come with a silicone interface as it's way too expensive of an add on if it's not safe for users by using the default fabric interface. The same problem was faced in quest 2 when it had launched but they got a silicone interface for free to claim after a while and yet it was not implemented in quest 3.
The battery life of the headset needs to be worked upon, as the charging time is more than it's usage time, which itself feels a bit weird.

It does not work very well, and now my controllers do not even work. It is not worth the money. Don’t waste your money.

Basically Quest 2.0

If i could have tried it before I bought it, I would never have purchased this headset. I have each headset produced from the oculus line and we honestly still use the Quest 2 more. Not a bad device but its not much better than the Quest 2. In fact the whole family likes Quest 2 better than this.
