Better than expected

I’ve been holding off getting VR, in part due too the requirement of having a Facebook account, but you can set security to block any tracking; and so I made the plunge. It is really quite amazing. From simple things like watching YouTube, to concert videos, to 360’ videos- it is amazing (the only way to watch movies in the future. The games can be simple or very complex - and it is like ‘being there’. Strongly recommend if you want to participate in VR

Bought quest 3 for my son as a Christmas gift , he didn’t be able to use it during Christmas time, but it stopped working after 2-3 days and returned to them. What a quest!!!

Very entertaining. Everyone I show it to wants to buy one. The graphics are good but could be a little better. I’m excited to see where this technology is in five years. Time to buy Meta stock!

Much better than the Quest 2

Everything about the Quest 3 is a major upgrade from the 2. The size and weight are a lot less so it sits more comfortably on the head. The addition of the cameras and augmented reality was implemented well. Better graphics, faster processors, more memory.

Lots of controller issues

Controllers lose tracking constantly in games like beat saber etc. They lose tracking even at your sides causing your hand to float across the screen until you move it in front of you. The controllers are angled incorrectly in a lot of titles. when you hold your hand straight with your arm you can see its about +15 degrees off on the x-axis and really affects aiming in games and is immersion breaking. It's also rotated slightly so holding things like swords makes you hold the controller unnaturally. Holding it naturally makes you use the side of the sword instead of the blade. You can see a lot of people with the issues if you google it. It happens with PCVR games and native Quest 3 games. I was hoping that the v60 update would fix it, but it didn't.

Definitely an upgrade from the quest 2. I expected the passthrough to be better as far as normal view went but apparently that only applies to recordings and moving passthrough is very blurry
