Easy setup after installing the Meta App on my Android. Was able to share my apps from the Quest 3 to my Quest 2 easily.

Dead pixels and battery life not great.

I got the quest 3 recently and noticed there was a dead pixel right away in the right lense. I didnt mind it at first but now there are two dead pixels and its all that I can see now. On top of that, it seems like the battery drains really quickly even with the elite strap with battery attachment. Other than that, its a great product. Unfortunately the pixels really take away from the experience.

A Big Improvement From Quest 2

I'm loving the Quest 3 so far and very happy with my purchase. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros
- The clarity improvements are immediately noticable. Everything looks crisp and beautiful. Small text in VR is much easier to read.
- The passthrough cameras are great (though still noisy).
- The FOV improvement is noticable as well.
- Love the new controllers.
- Doesn't turn on by itself while on rest mode.

Cons
- Double tapping the side of the headset to switch to passthrough mode works about 30% of the time for me, please give us a hardware button for this.
- I actually find the headset slightly less comfortable than the Quest 2 with the DAS adapter. Will try the official adapter.
- Power button on the left fees weird, can't get used to it.
- I sometimes hear something like fan if my volume is low, it's very rare and I only hear it if I'm watching 3d videos, it's subtle.

Could have done better

The meta quest three is a step up in processing power but that's where the good news ends. The battery life is awful and the headstrap that comes on the device is uncomfortable presumably on purpose.

Stick with the quest 2 or jump to the quest pro. Only noticeable improvement is the pancake lenses. Tracking controllers is worse than quest 2.

The visuals on this new Quest are soooooo much better. The lens are way better. The head strap that comes with is terrible, i would suggest investing in a BoboVR M3. The facial interface is rough on the skin and very hard. You can tell there us supposed to be cushion there, but no. The battery life is very poor. Playing Population:One with just the headset battery, I can play for 30-45 minutes. I have to add a 50,000mah power pack to be able to play for a few hours, and I have to have a backup charged and ready to go if I want to play for longer.

Headache machine

It’s definitely got a wow factor when you first put it on. However that wow factor quickly wears off and is replaced by a pounding headache. To keep it from wiggling around you have to really cinch down the strap. Really uncomfortable if you wear glasses. No idea about the correct IPD. Pass through resolution is awful, like really bad. OS is under developed. Games are kinda boring. I didn’t mind the short battery life cause I couldn’t wear it for more than an hour without getting a massive headache. No way you can do actual work on it. So… ya. It’s an over priced headache machine. Save your money and repeatedly bash your head against the wall if you really need a headache.
