Love Oculus Quest

I don't use the headset every day sometimes, I wouldn't touch it for 3 weeks but I would never exist without an Oculus Quest. I love the versatility that comes with a wireless VR headset like the quest. I can play VR games wirelessly anywhere in my house using the power of my gaming PC, I can check out a bunch of free stuff in the discover section through Oculus, and best of all I love how you can watch any streaming service with a big adjustable screen in front of you while you're relaxing in the bed with your head facing whatever way you want to face. Not something I'll use everyday but I wouldn't go without it.

Excellent graphics. My only concern is the difficulty I have experienced in connecting it to my PC.

I ordered the Meta Quest 3 as a Christmas gift for my grandson. The device plus accessories arrived when promised, and all appears in excellent condition. I will provide an update to this review after my grandson and I have gained some experience using the system.

Third Time's The Charm

Received my Meta Quest 3 within days of its launch, and THIS is the one to get, if you don't own any of the previous Quest versions already extant. I also own the first MQ 1, MQ 2, and the MQ Pro models. The MQ2 is definitely worth the price of admission, and the MQ Pro has numerous potentialities I have yet to fully explore/understand. The MQ 3 is slightly more budget friendly than the Pro, but the MQ 3 also appeals to me as being the most "approachable" tech-wise.
Overall, the Meta Quest series of ANY version, starting with (in my opinion ) the MQ 3, MQ Pro and MQ 2 are all solid purchases. The groundfloor future of VR starts right here! HRS

Vast improvement over predecessor

Refresh rate and clarity is high enough that passive VR sickness is significantly reduced compared to the Quest 2. Color pass through is great, obviously doesn't live up to the commercial, but in bright environments it's by far the best in class.
Main problem is that the chip gets pretty hot, so the upper part of the front headset can get warm, which warms up the facerest, which warms up your brow, and that can get really uncomfortable especially if you're exercising as you'll sweat way more than expected. Also if you keep this on your face for too long, and you have a prominent brow ridge, that area that gets sweaty can also get sore. This can be remedied with a pulley system if you want to use this for PCVR, but that's a niche for a niche.
Asides from that though, everything else lives up to the hype to me or even exceeds it. If you already have a Quest 2 and you're happy with it, I don't think an upgrade is a must, but it still is a decently large leap forwards, and it's a headset good for both PCVR and standalone.

Awful comfort ruins excellent VR/MR experience

The stock strap and facial interface are extremely uncomfortable. After using the Quest 3 for an hour a day for a couple of days, the skin around my eyes was tender to the touch for days because the face cover irritated my skin. The elite strap didn't help the face cover being so terrible. I went back to my Quest 3 with 3rd party strap and facial interface for playing.
The VR and MR tech is nice. After I printed some adapters, I was able to use a halo interface and remove the facial interface. This saved my face from further abuse by the cover.

I really love this headset. It is a massive upgrade over the quest two, the lenses are ultra clear and it’s chipset is a beast. 10/10 recommend, but you should definitely get an upgrade for the headstrap
