Fantastic VR and AR device

The Meta Quest 3 was the first VR/AR headset that I think truly hits the mark for mass market quality. It's high resolution, the battery life is reasonably long, it can be untethered or tethered (for infinite life), the room scale AR/VR works seamlessly, the controllers are top notch and feel great in your hands. The pass-through AR is actually pretty great for what it is -- it requires decent lighting but in general I can navigate the world around me without issue. The headset itself was easy to setup on my face and I went about two weeks with my glasses inside the headset which worked OK but was painful - until I received the lens inserts and now it's very comfortable. It's a fantastic "pickup and VR" device since it can be used without a PC. Audio is good and of course better with headphones or earbuds.
It's the first VR device that I've used for 4-8hrs and not gotten sick or tired. Part of this is the ease in which you can have passthrough to perform real-world actions and also the fact that it's battery powered so you can walk around without cables. The other impressive part was the support for multi-monitor, multi-display remote desktop. I was surprised at the clarity when my 4K monitor was mirrored and extended.
My only slight negative is that some apps were trickier than others to initially setup - particularly if they require you to go to a specific address on another device in order to register (like Netflix). I also had a bit of annoyance initially linking my Occulus account to a Meta account. After that initial setup though, everything has been smooth.
I can't tell you enough how awesome it is to have the MQ3 sitting on the corner of my desk where I can pick it up and just use it without any fuss or setup or calibration and get right into roomscale or seated VR. You really can't beat it for the price, massive library of apps and games, and quality build.

The Hand controller

I am the owner of a Meta Quest 3. So far I have enjoyed the experience. i decided to purchase it after I began learning the Unity software platform. I have not played any games as yet but I will do so in the future. my only suggestion is that you widen the lanyard for the controller by an 1/8 - 1/2 half inch (see attached file. I hope that this helps in the continued improvement of your fine product.

Good headset! No 6 month trial included

The headset is amazing and feels even better than the quest 2, both the visuals and audio is great and the mic when playing multiplayer is amazing, getting asgards wrath 2 with the headset was really fun and comforting to wear when playing it, unfortunately with th 512gb version though it mentions you will recieve 8 monthd of free meta+ you will not, i recieved both the email, in app notification, as well as a in headset notification to recieve 6 free months meta+ fo buying the 512gb headset! that never happened, and upon research throughout the web many others were falsely advertised the same thing, but if you are lucky you will still get the 1 month free trial that they offer everyone despite which headset you buy, i do wish i could of made better use of the extra space in my headset with the meta+ they promised but its still agreat headset overall

Got everything I was hoping out of the purchase. The guy I gifted it to uses it regularly to watching videos and general browsing, which is what I hoped. Would recommend.

The Meta Quest 3 is leaps and bounds beyond the Quest 2. The resolution is much clearer, the field of vision wider, and the AR component really enhances gaming. It's so much lighter than the 2 way making it easier to use it for exercise. I absolutely love the Quest 3!
