The future is almost here! Quest 3 is an improvement in every possible way. Faster, leaner and more powerful. All it needs now is a larger game library that takes advantage of the hardware and we’ll be there.

Quest keeps getting better & better

I love the new Quest 3's ability to passthrough. I use a Virtual Desktop with my Quest 3 and it makes working enjoyable. However, it's still heavy on the face. It would be great when technology gets lighter. I wonder if Apple's Vision Pro feels much lighter?

I have owned 4 Quest headsets now. And the Quest 3 is by far the best. Which is understandably expected. That being said, the addition of Mixed Reality and the quality of the pass through has already shown me amazing potential for fun and new experiences. The controllers are a nice improvement over the Q2 controllers. Allowing my hands to get closer while not costing as much as the pro-controllers. Overall, there seems to be huge potential for better VR with the quest 3 and unmatched potential for new MR experiences! Thank you Meta!

The device is easy to use and comfortable. The quality of the image is great. Passthrough works well but I find that I need a lot of light for it to look like the demo videos.

Better and better

I still have a Gear VR, a Go, a Quest 1,2 and now 3. The trend of improvement has been steady and impressive. The graphics are better, adjustments are better, audio is better and the pancake lenses get rid of the “god rays” that plagued the fresnel lensed pre-cursors. The IPD adjustment from the quest 1 is back and very welcome. As for setting up a guardian area, the headset scans your surroundings as you turn and comes up with a suggested area all on its own, or you can make your own. The AR features are amazing although I haven’t found much content yet to use them with. Color pass through camera are wonderful and have made me forget I had the headset on a couple of times. I use the 3 with the elite strap and seem to have less fatigue than I did with the quest 2/elite strap combo. If you are a VR fan like me, get it. It is worth the upgrade.

A strap above the rest

My only major con for the device is the strap. I would imagine it was designed in such a way to accommodate majority of the users out there. Unfortunately, I was graced with larger ears, so this strap has a tendency to irritate the tops of my ears. Easy fix, I will be looking to replace the strap. Otherwise, the passthrough is an amazing feature of the Quest 3. I've owned a variety of VR devices from the Oculus Go, Quest 1, Quest 2 and now the 3. I love how easy the system is for all ages and how if you are a technology person how you can adapt the device for PCVR as well. Great work Meta!

BATTERY DRAIN AND HEAD STRAP

I LOVE THE UNIT BUT NOT HOW LONG THE BATTERY LAST. I DID PURCHASE THE ELITE HEAD STRAP WITH THE BATTERY BUT THAT DON,T LAST LONG BUT THE FIT IS SO MUCH BETTER.
