great display poor LG software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the monitor display itself is nice but unfortunately I can't say the same for the software especially the onscreen control software that LG uses which was probably last updated 10 years ago. Also the HDR not sure that it actually works.

My usage is probably 70/30 productivity to gaming. I was on the fence about going with curved or not so I started with the 34” curved and really enjoy it. It quickly decided the 38” was what I wanted. Currently running a dual curved monitor setup that is stacked vertically. 38” is my main and the 34” is above tilted down. I like the desktop real estate and the ability to set up default screen partitions. It also looks very sleek and I like the single stand over the dual set up I had. Also very impressed with the picture quality. I have not games yet so I can not comment on that aspect but it’s great for 3D modeling/rendering and also productivity for documents, email, browsers, etc. I honestly wish I would have just stepped up to the 38” first but for the price this was a great choice.

I bought this monitor in 2020 for my home office setup for productivity. It has been a solid performer throughout its use with both the usb-c & display port inputs used daily. The styling is top notch with slim bezels & great picture quality. I would recommend using a high quality mount for a monitor of this price point.

This is one beautiful ultra wide screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor a few days ago and have been very happy with the screen. I think, it is taken for granted that the screen has to be awesome, so I am not going to cover that since that has blown my mind away. What I want to commend and this is totally worth every penny I paid for this monitor is the awesome 10Wx2 speakers. Good treble and superb bass. This is TV quality speakers built into the monitor. And I am using a DisplayPort (or USB-C) which also automagically drive sound output as well, so there's one less cable. Playing games on this screen sounds so amazing and immersive. I just can't praise it enough.
The other point I wanted to praise is the USB-C port. It charges my 2017 MacBook Pro Escape and it also drives display and sound. Once less charger to bring back from office. I could just come home and plug the USB-C into the MacBook Pro and voila!
Highly recommended!!

Purchased this monitor to run of my Mac Book Pro 2019 to edit photos while traveling in Korea during the next year (purchased from LG in Korea). The monitor is great to say the least, great colors and fantastic real estate (screen area). I have been using the 34" cousin of this monitor for the last couple years and and glad I left it back in the US and got this new monitor to eventually ship back with my stuff.
