[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The image is amazing, this was my first step into 4k gaming at 120 hz. While I cannot speak to the longevity of the product, it has been more than I could have expected in the short time I have owned and used the monitor. The only issue I would have with this monitor would be the price point. While this monitor is better than its competitors, the gap in price is quite large might not be the same as the gap in abillity.

Great till it's not..

I bought this monitor near launch last year and have had it for a year and a week today. At first my HDMI 1 port stopped receiving any signal, tried my PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, nothing. I let it go as a minor inconvenience because the HDMI 2 worked, yesterday my screen freezes solid, couldn't turn the monitor off or anything. Stuck on a black screen, with a resolution change message stuck on the bottom right of the screen. Had to pull the plug from the outlet and once I plugged it back on, the monitor will not power on. Red light on the bottom isn't on and I bought a 2nd power supply and it didn't fix the issue. So after a year and a week, right after my warranty is up, it's dead.

I bought this monitor for a new desk setup that I was building. It's excellent with the PS5 with a crystal clear picture and 120FPS when available. I also use it with my M1 Max MacBook Pro via USB-C to display port cable, and am able to get 4k 144hz which looks and feels incredible for the Mac. Highly recommend this if you're looking at the same style of setup as me.
I bought this monitor shortly after it came out. I used it on my new xbox series x and man what difference it made. The colors are great and is extremely fast. I have now use the monitor on my pc and will not use any other I love this monitor and have nothing but positive experience.

The monitor is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble updating the monitor's firmware. Onscreen Control says it's the latest version. However, this is the very first version 1.0.0.0. The update process could be better designed. I need help and an answer from LG.
Great refresh rate. Clarity is great. Love the UI.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to purchase this monitor as an upgrade from my previous computer display. I set up the monitor today and from first start up it had a horizontal line of dead pixels near the bottom of the screen. I checked the cords and everything is fully plugged in. Several restarts later and the line is there every single time. I tried leaving the monitor on for a time to see if it goes away, but it still had the line after over an hour. How do I fix this?

This monitor should be a market leader, but it simply isn't worth buying in my opinion. I've had mine for 2 days and feel very frustrated with the intermittent black screen problem. A quick online search directs me to many others who are in my boat. I have tried the DP cable that came with the monitor and 3 others but changing cables makes no difference. Just when you don’t need it the screen goes black and stays black for a couple of seconds. I can go for a week and not experience a single black screen and then just as I start to regain my confidence in it, the screen blacks out again.
There is no way I would recommend this monitor as it is. Why LG have not fixed this yet is beyond me as the “black screen” issue is well documented on various sites. I have seen reviews of people having theirs exchanged just to experience the same black screen on their replacement. Online forums are flooded with this issue with no official resolution from LG. I am only leaving this review in hopes this raises awareness to the product team for a solution.
Look elsewhere people, this monitor is doing my head in!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
