It’s a great monitor, visual quality wise. This said the stand is cheap and button controls underneath leave a lot to be desired. On sale it’s a buy but at full price you could find better value.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great buy if below $400

Great screen real-estate, and very decent build quality. It wobbles a but it is Vesa mount compatible so that's great. It was very easy to set up and has a very easy-to-use menu.
My gripe with this is that it is horribly not sharp. You can very easily see pixels everywhere and if you stare at this an entire workday you will get a migrane.

Beautiful Monitor

I recently purchased this monitor as an alternative to a two monitor setup and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The onscreen ability to divide the screen into multiple configurations works flawlessly and makes multitasking a breeze. Add in tilt and height adjustability, decent built-in speakers and simple HDMI connectivity, and this monitor is a great buy.

Great monitor for a reasonable price. I prefer this over a dual monitors set-up.
I miss my iMac for screen quality but LG is the way to go if you're not buying an Apple product.

Nice, clear monitor

I got this monitor to replace two old smaller ones for my remote work-from-home job. The picture is bright and clear, and for these "old-lady" eyes, so much easier to see and read without straining my eyes. The sound is fine, though I tend to use a headset plugged in via USB to my laptop. I like being able to have two items open on the same monitor to work, and almost wish I had a second of the same size hooked up as well (I always wanted the Matrix look :) )
The only two (minor) disappointments are: 1) lack of USB ports on the monitor and 2) a ridiculous short HDMI cable that comes with it. I could barely reach the laptop docking station from the monitor.
Highly recommend this monitor.
