it's fast, I use it for external hard drive, the read/write both reached to 2400MB/s with thunderbolds 3 connection to my intel imac(old), the enclosure's read/write spead limited at 2800mb/s. Pretty fast drive.

This was a gift for a friend that they really liked because their computer was barely running and now it stopped making what they called a “death scream”, has more space as well as runs some newer games, and is somewhat faster.
