Difficult to track

I used the AirTag to track the whereabouts of my cat. Although the AirTag is well made, and light enough for my 9 lbs cat, it is impossible to ask for on-demand location of my cat every time. I may get a location for where she was 51 minutes ago but can force a refresh. So I have to wait until the application decides to provide an update. Whether that is related to my cat remaining at the same location for 51 minutes or not, I'm not sure, but when trying to find her at that location. If it wasn't for this issue, I would be over the moon with this product.

It is a great solution for people with ADHD

Good, but expected more

Objective: to help catch a runaway cat. Auxiliary: catch if she gets lost or runs away in an unfamiliar place.
Expectations: Look at the map in the browser where the cat is about. Go there. Turn on sound. Hear where. See the cat. Catch. Take home.
Reality: it's different. Look on the iPad where the cat is about, find out "was right next to the tablet 20 minutes ago." Walk around the house through her favorite bushes, 20-30 meters of direct visibility through the bushes is enough, you don't need to climb into the bushes. In the farthest place, see on the tablet "the cat is here again." Turn on sound. Hear where. Understand that this is five meters for a cat and four hundred for me, because of a fence. See a cat frightened by the loud sound. See her running home. Turn off the sound, because you do not need to frighten her further.
In the idea of the authors, I must also see the direction to the cat. But for this, you need to have the latest versions of the iPhone / iPad, which I do not have and do not planning.
As it turned out, in order for other people's iPhones to be useful, they need to update the firmware, and, preferably, the iPhones must also be new. Also, the gadget itself sends a signal every few minutes. So the favorite places need to be bypassed slowly.

Conclusion: Airtag is a solution for finding a cat/kid/bike/keys, but I expected more. Some of the problems will be solved with a massive upgrade to new iPhones.

Great product

I switched from tile to AirTags and it was much easier to find my missing items when I needed them. The precision finding with the arrow makes it much easier is your kn the general area of missing item

Has immense potential to be useful

Happy to come across an Apple product that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Bought it just out of curiosity, haven’t been able to test it yet. But whenever I have opened the Find My app, it was super quick to find my Air Tag without any delay. In terms of design and construction, I wish Apple wouldn’t have gone for such a shiny metal cap which is super prone to scratches. For a tracker that usually lies in the deepest pockets of your bag, Apple should have considered a more rugged design and provided a hole at least to insert a lanyard or ring of some kind to secure it!

air tags not enough detail

Bought a pack of 4 to share with my family who all have Iphones particularly liked the tracking find it feature, then discovered that this feature only works with Iphone 11 and 12
my kids had Iphone 10 and 8
Prior to purchase I WAS INFORMED BY THE STORE ASSISTAND THAT THE AIRTAGS WORKS WITH ALL iPHONES.
THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH RESPECT TO THE FIND FEATURE.
