Great Backup Camera

I purchased the 60D a year ago and it has been extremely handy as my backup and all around travel type camera. I noticed recently it had some dust spots on the sensor. I was surprised since I used L series lens on it and do not change any lens out in the field. A local shop cleaned the sensor for me fixing the problem. It is handy, great pictures and I have recommended it to more than one person I know.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Simple controls/menu, uses same battery as my 5d m iii

Best camera I ever owned

I bought this camera because I wanted something better. I
have accomplished that. I wanted something that was not
too expensive. I am not the worlds best at telling you what is
good or bad pictures. I not to fond of the push button on top
of the selector switch. I can use it with no problem. I am very
pleased with what I got. I would like to have a 7D. It is more
expensive. not in my price range.

Nice camera but...

Been anticipating buying this camera ever since it came out. So far I'm very pleased, however, I was disappointed when several white specs started showing up on my dark background images. One large one always in the same spot. Which after research, led me to believe there was dust on the sensor. I though, how is this possible? I was very meticulous in putting on the brand new lens for the first time. Couldn't have been more than a couple seconds between taking covers off. After doing a long programed sensor cleaning, problem was solved. No more white specs.
I read the camera comes with "Dust Delete Data" software that maps out stubborn dust particles and eliminates them from your image, which will inevitably happen with frequent lens changes, but hey Canon, dust on a brand new sensor?

Amazing entry level DSLR.

This was my first DSLR and I'm so glad that it was. It's hard for me to pick and choose what to talk about because there's not one thing I don't appreciate about this camera. The swiveling screen has come in handy in situations where I can't see over crowds, so by tilting the screen down and holding the camera up I'm still able to get my shots. It takes great quality photos and I'd absolutely recommend this to any other amateur or beginner.

Cons: noisy, Heavy/Bulky

Very Glad I upgraded to 60D

I purchases the 60D to replace a Rebel XSI. I was looking for an increased shutter speed and ISO. Very happy with the results of taking sports action shots with the 60D.
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation

Excellent Camera

The vari-angle LCD is great and help a lot, Good Picture quality even in low lights. The LCD screen comes with an electronic level feature. This feature helps in leveling the camera. Another great feature of the canon 60d is the Dial lock which helps in preventing any unintentional change of the settings set by the user

It is very good but its prossesor is a few week for blub photos that I can't even think about raw blub photo.

Upgraded from Rebel XS

I updated from the Rebel XS. This camera is a huge upgrade. As many other reviews say this is more of a Rebel on steroids than a traditional XXD series, but that's fine with me. I like the solid plastic feel and don't think the magnesium body would really make a difference. The integrated wireless flash function is great as well. Unless you need the higher burst rate of the 7D buy this one over any of the Rebel's.
