Nice Compact DSLR

This 60D has been a nice transition piece between my Rebel and 5D Mark ii. Though lacking in the level of iso performance you would expect to see from the higher end dslr's, it is still an impressive leap from my Rebel. The flip screen was a major turn-off before the purchase, however, I have since used it for numerous perspective shots as well as a great deal of 1080p video. I would recommend a larger card 32GB+ as the file size is rather large if you shoot RAW.
Pros: build quality, ease of use, balanced weight, image quality, flip screen, built in radio flash transmitter
Cons: mediocre iso performance at 1600+

I have been using DSLR camera's for a couple years now, primarily on the Rebel series, and a few times on the higher-end 5D mkII. I purchased the 60D a few months ago because it was the limit to my budget, and had a few more features to the Rebel series. So far, this camera has been one of my best purchases from Canon, and I plan on using it extensively for the next few years.
Pros: great manual features, vari-angle screen, durable, good battery life
Cons: kind of expensive

As a wedding photograher this cam is a great fit, fast focussing on the go. great quality pictures even in low light, location of controls on the camera all make me not miss that perfect shot. Little on the heavy side when carring around for a while but its just a reminder of less plastic parts... The ability to shoot HD video helps me create great slide shows with small video clips as well all with the same cam in hand.. I keep a 20d backup incase of failure on set but dont think ill need it...
Thanks once again canon for another great product..

I love my canon EOS 60D; It's an upgrade from a 20D that I still own. I also still have 3 Canon film slr's.

A wonder in hand

A camera equipped with all basic to many advanced needs of any photographer. Camera build is very robust and gives a good weight balance with lens. All the features are easy to use. One more important aspect is the image processing software. RAW images are easy to manage and the nice part about it is setting the white balance.
There are not many things to say about this camera. It just feels great to have this one in hand. As a photography enthusiast I feel proud and enjoy taking pictures with Canon 60D.
Pros: gives the satisfaction of taking a photograph.

Would you fly on a 787?

i purchased the 60d as a logical upgrade for my t2i. Logical because i own the 15-85, 70-300 and 85 1.8 canon lenses. Much of my shooting since the upgrade has been focused on me two year old granddaughter and her very active cousins. All I can say is that the upgrade has certainly exceeded my expectations.
Not a lot of photo quality difference betwwnthe 60d and the t2i. I do feel that the 60d may focus a little faster - very important when trying to capture a couple of very active kids. I would consider the 15-85 lens to be my primary use lens and it is an amazing combination with the 60d - super fast focus and tack sharp photos!
Three issues that seem to come up in many reviews - feel and handling, build quality and micro focus. I certainly agree that the feel and handling charteristics of the 60d are a big improvement for me. Build qualiy feels great to me - a big step up over the t2i. The complaint seems to be plastic/composite material vs. metal - would those that complain about this issue fly on thr new composite built Boeing 787? As for micro focus, with my Canon lenses I have not found the need for any more detailed focus provided bt the auto focus system provived by the camera lens combos.
Pros: super picture quality, camera speed, build quality and feel
