I've seen some of the other reviews on the updated mop. I have the original Reveal mop. I've had it for 4 years. No rusting, no nozzle clogging, breaks or break downs or leaks. I have a few different pads for different jobs. Works great. I use it 2-3 times a week and it has help up well and looks like new. I love the refillable container. We use these at work in our classrooms to spot clean. It's tough and can with stand 3/4 year olds wanting to "help" clean with it.
This mop is good for quick "lick and a promise" cleanings and I like the idea of easily being able to wash the pad. I had difficulty with the cleaning solution leaking when the mop was stored with the head down however, so I have had to change the way I store it in order to avoid a mess. I am also disappointed to see that Rubbermaid does not sell replacement scrubber pads-apparently they do not intend that this product will hold up that long, especially after reading the other reviews. Built in obsolescence when the products should be the best they can be. I can and do wash my string mop heads successfully and get my floors cleaner.
Just like almost everything these days, the reveal spray mop that I thought was the greatest, has proved a disappointment. Less then a year after buying, it has stopped working properly. I stored it empty and upside down to make sure it didn't clog but I can barely get it to spray now.
I love this mop. Works great and pad is easy to clean. This floor mop is by far better than any of those Swiffer products that just slides the dirt over and over on your floors.
The only problem is I need a replacement bottle and can't locate where to purchase one. I don't want to buy a whole new Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop.
My husband got me this product about two years ago. I have four cats and a large, muddy dog, so I usually am mopping several times a day. I love the concept of the refillable container and washable pads, since I don't need to continuously buy things for this mop. It works pretty well and makes mopping quick and easy!
The solution bottle started to leak and the handle rusted out, and snapped off completely near the bottom after just under two years. I was disappointed, but liked the mop enough to buy a new one. We will see how that one goes!
Had the mop for two months and it stopped spraying. The bottle was not leaking but the o-ring was stretched so I replaced it. I've tried priming and putting hot water in the bottle to dissolve any possible blockage in the tubing. Nothing works! I get one full spray after initial bottle installation and nothing more. This would be a great product if it worked. Please replace this defective mop.
